  4. Obviously he did not see the update yet….. LOL 😂 GT must be close if this overtook him 😂
  5. Pity in Australia you can’t have Bengal cats 😪

  7. I'd rather worship with a kind person in a filthy sweatsuit than a mean person in a necktie or modest long dress. JMO in a nutshell.
  8. Same in English - but some are having trouble parting with their suits! 🤣
  9. A strong emphasis that this is my personal opinion. I will of course adapt but not in a rush. Not because I am "afraid" to be the first but exactly because of the same reason that there was a change in the dress code, there are always bible principles involved in our decisions. Not everyone, for a multitude of reasons, would have time to see the update, specially considering that we (jwtalk) tend to see it before anybody else. And because of 1 Corinthians 10:23-24, I waited for an announcement to be made for the whole congregation, so everyone had a chance to be on the same page. I saw the update on Friday, an announcement was read Saturday and the whole congregation saw the update on Monday.
  10. In Polish the expression “has a part” was translated “takes part in the program” which is understood as saying something from the stage. On the Sunday meeting all brothers had a tie/jacket and 2 d as usterka slacks. As a side note, in Poland as long as I remember during summer months normal attire for brothers in our congregation was a tie and short sleeved shirt without jacket even for having stage parts (maybe except public talk). That outfit was/is considered as not elegant according to secular savior-vivre standards (from what I read a man should have a suit and a tie or a tie and long sleeved shirt). 11. That would be great but in a lot of places assembly halls don’t have suitable screens. I hope it will change soon. Wysłane z iPhone za pomocą Tapatalk
  12. On ministry on Friday, so literally a day before this announcement, the sister I was working with had on a beautiful knee length skirt but it was quite flowy…and it was windy. And let’s just say she had to grab it quick at some points. I soooo appreciate now having the choice of wearing trousers, especially on windy days in the ministry, so our full attention can go to our preaching work, not making sure our skirt doesn’t flow up! (And yes I know she had a choice to wear a different kind of skirt, but to be fair to her it was so sunny when she left the house and the wind just picked up out of nowhere! That’s England for you I guess, the weather is VERY changeable).
  13. It maybe shock and awe, but at the end of the day, who dropped the nukes on Japan? Many might think Iran is a nutty country, the Anglo- American Power dropped nukes on people and destroyed nations through the years too.
  14. Most notably N. Korea. Imagine the shock and awe when Iran conducts a test
  15. What I understand from the last AM, We may expect adjustments, clarifications and enlightenments from time to time. Now the latest thru the latest update. So we must keep the future updates for us to keep informed.
  16. I hate to start a thread like this but I didn’t see one. Technically this should’ve been started with Covid but here’s something to start it. Maybe we can see what’s going on regionally. If this is too much moderators delete. CDC issues alert over rising measles cases in the U.S. https://www.yahoo.com/news/cdc-issues-alert-over-rising-032259039.html
  17. "Does this tie go with this suit?" - said no one ever again...
  18. Yes, that scripture refers to Anglo- American Power, yet other nations set off nukes too for testing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_nuclear_weapons_tests#:~:text=This has been done on,sites far from territorial waters.
  19. Another way to think about it: If two rival gangs were fighting (like the Sharks and the Jets in West Side Story) and one person had a gun, that person could effectively use the gun to bring the fight to an end. Now, if everyone had their own gun, it would be rather stupid for any of them to use their gun because they would not put an end to the fight, that would only make the fight a circular firing squad. Google says there are 9 countries with nuclear weapons. Iran will be the 10th. If only one used a nuke, there would be a chain reaction on some level. In any case, Rev. 13:13 and the w22.05 10 were added to our Beliefs Clarified. Hopefully there will be no reason to update.
  20. Not necessarily, but a lot of brothers and sisters would use that break to smoke. Also please remember this was before we knew that smoking was wrong.
  21. The brother with a “part on the program” is dressed the same as the audience: You’ll find that in all the paintings, simply because there’s no Biblical indication otherwise.

    • I commented about how, even if your mate irritates you, seeking consolation elsewhere is definitely not the solution. No one of the opposite sex wants to hear about how unhappy you are- talk to your mate about it,  Jehovah, or the elders, if necessary. Leave others out of it. 🤨

I never thought I’d feel this way, or say it. It’s almost too much for me to keep up with. FB gets a cursory glance, and, here, I read until my brain is chattering at me.
To be blunt, it is hard to keep up with our site, and keep on my toes, with studying and service.
Here, I just don’t have time to read it all. I suppose, eventually, I will, but not today!

Can someone please remind me where I can find the scripture that says that when someone is stressed they may talk crazy.
      Not Job 6:3.

Progressive far leftist ideology is 100% incompatible with Bible principles. Just because worldly media continually promotes certain ideas or virtues doesn't mean that those ideas are remotely true or that those virtues are remotely good. Have some of us forgotten who's' ruling this world?
