  1. I got 13 out of 15. I know nothing about Islam, Hindu & moslim...I guess I guessed right on some of them.
  2. That is a good point, Joy....a sparkling angel of light. In my eyes, I still wouldnt think that a Christian would want to watch a TV show about humans that died and came back to life as imortal creature that drink blood any more than they would want to watch 2 people having sex. I wouldnt anyway. It's demonic and evil! Of course, if someone is watching it and not telling anyone, well we wouldnt know about it, would we, but Jehovah would bring it out eventually if it would harm the congregation. To each his own and I dont wqant to throw my conscious on anyone, but personally I don't want anything to do at all with demons! We have to deal with them enough as it is without going out there inviting them into our lives.
  3. In my eyes, anything that dabbles in the occult is demonic and all christians should not be involved in it. I think Bobs advice is good to ask them if it bothers their conscious and let them bite. But either way...bad associations spoil useful habits and I would definately not want to associate with them. Demons can sneak in my house if they are there (in my humble opinion). I have enough problems just living in this wicked world without inviting them into my life!
  4. Dang, Bob.....I do have a big mouth, by a long shot...especially seeing that I have been away for about 5 months! DANG!!!!
  5. Hey BOB....me having almost as many posts as you???? I must have a big mouth..... (I love all the new smileys!!!!!) When I come back to the states I will definately come through Ohio!.....My youngest lives in Dayton. I will be expecting a BIG party....)'>
  6. As you can tell by my lack of posts....I have been busy with my married life. Things are slowing down now and life is getting back to normal. I'm living in BC, Canada which is a long way off from my family and friends in Charleston, SC. I dont miss the heat, but I sure miss them. I'm enjoying married life (I dont like being single) but I do miss my girls. I cant go back until I get my landed imigrant status which will be the first of the year. Then I want to go for a month!!!!
  7. I can't wait to tell people...."Let me go talk to my husband about it"....hahaha! Takes a LOT of pressure off me...LOL!
  8. Our honeymoon will be 3 weeks here. We're staying in Charleston 3 weeks, then going to the Lake for 2 nights, then to my hometown for 3 nights, then to Asheville for 4 nights, then to Boone for 3 nights, then back to charleston for 2 nights...then to Canada. he won't have to work until the wintertime except maybe 3 weeks in July so we will have a LONG honeymoon. He took me to 3 hotsprings while I was there in dec. Fairmont, Aimsworth, and Lucier. he also took me by radium, but we didn't stop there. We will certainly be ging back but I will remember to use my American Identity to get the cheaper rate...LOL. I will definately keep my American Citizenship, but I'm also planning on becoming a Canadian Citizen, too. I will have be a duel Citizen. It will take a while though. First I have to become a permenate resident so I can get the benefits, then after 3 years I can apply for citizenship, although I'm hoping the new system will be here by then and we will all be world citizens without borders. I will have healthcare as soon as I become a permenant resident, but Pieter will have insurance on me anyway through his business so I won't have to worry about that. He lives only about 10 minutes from his KH. They have 5 congregation in the 2 KH's there. Also an Assembly Hall and the C.O. apartment. It is a big complex. I've met many of the friends there and they are planning us a picnic when we get back just to celebrate our marriage. They are very a very friendly group. All the Canadians I met are just like southerners. People are very friendly and will talk to you in the stores and such. I'm really looking forward to being there. I've always wanted to move to Canada ever since the draft dodgers did it....hahaha!
  9. Hey Marshall....You should have stopped by when you flew over...you could have helped me pack all my stuff!!! I'm only taking clothes and a few books and all my CDs, but I just can't get motivated to get it in gear. I hate going through clothes and I've already weeded out a lot but I still need to get rid of a lot!!!! Ughhhh!!! That's so hard for a woman to do. Yes...BC...ahhhh...I'm so looking forward to the change of seasons. I love winter!!! I was just being annoying to all you northerners when I was ragging you about our beautiful weather down here. It is beautiful for about 2 more weeks then HOT HOT HOT. Not as bad as West Palm though. I lived there for 5 years and it is WAYYYY too hot for me. I visit my friends there only in the Wintertime! We will be living on the side of a mountain, looking down into the vally watching the sun go down. Now that's life!! I love the mountains. I've lived near the beach for most of the past 20 years and no matter where you go in this world, the beach always looks the same...but the mountains give you a new scenery around every curve. I'm so looking forward to living there. I'm a Gypsy Soul, ya know and love to explore. Gloria...Don't worry...you'll get to bug me plenty. I'll be sure to check in every day or two. We both have a lot of catching up to do though...hahaha! .He'll be here on the 26th and we get married on the 1st. I'm looking forward to showing him Charleston with all its rich history. I'm also looking forward to getting married. Yes, Marshall...I do deserve another half. I don't like being single. I have too much love to give out and I need someone to spoil rotten. But the fun part is he spoils me too. We will certainly be good for eachother. I hope in our travels we can hook up with some of you guys. I love you all!
  10. My hubby is too busy to hang out on the computer, but he has said ANY of my friends are always welcome to come visit. So come on up, but wait until we get over the HONEYMOON!!! I"m so excited about the free healthcare!!!!
  11. Sorry I haven't been around as much as I like to be, but I am getting married May 1st and have been very busy planning everything and getting things packed. Pieter is coming April 26th and we will be here until the 18th. then I will be moving to Cold Stream, British Columbia...Eh! I love it there. It is a smaller place than I'm used to and I'm really looking forward to the mountain living and the change of seasons. I'm also looking forward to being spoiled by my sweet husband. He is such a good brother and loves me to death. We really make a good couple. He balances me out, which is something I surely need. I may not be around as much as I would like for a month or so, but once I get there and all settled in, I'll be annoying Bob, Gloria and the rest of you all the time once again. Don't forget about me. I love you all!
  12. Isn't it a shame that they are out there preaching to people and they don't even know whats in the bible?

How I Found the Truth

  • How I found the Truth
I was raised in the Baptist faith, always attending church with my Grandparents. When I was 15, I had a friend who was accidently shot and killed. He was a great guy, but he didn't go to church and he also smoked a little pot. I was told he was in Hell. I got so angry at God!!! I went out into the woods and burned my bible and told God that..."even though I still believed in him, I didn't like him and would not worship a God who would even make a place like Hell to send people to." I then started my rebelliousness...smoking cigerettes, weed, and other things that I won't discuss here. Then...after my children were born, I decided I wanted God back into my life. I would visit one church after another only to get angry all over again about the "hell" issue. Then I would watch TV show after TV show and get angry again....because they would preach for a few minutes and then ask for money the rest of the show. I almost gave up, but I continued praying to God..."I know there is a true religion out there, but I can't find it...Please help me find it!" Well, I went again to my Uncle's church. That particular day, he was preaching bad things about Jehovahs Witnesses..."They're a cult....Don't talk to them....Don't take their literature....Don't even go to the door!" I was bewildered because I worked with 3 JWs and they were the nicest people. They didn't gossip, or tell dirty jokes. Just very christian acting people. So I went to my Dad and asked him why my Uncle was talking so bad about them since they were such good people. He said...."Yes, they are good people. They call themselves Jehovahs Witnesses, and God's name is Jehovah (which I already knew)...BUT...you go ask them if they believe in Hell!" So I did. I asked Lois the next day at work. She said, "Well, Rhonda...the bible does talk about Hell, but it's not a good time to talk about it here at work. If you really want to know...come to my house and we will di

I enjoy Photography, Art, Music, Camping, Fishing, and exploring this huge world of ours. I also like to ride a motorcycle. I have a very outgoing personality and have been blessed with many best friends. I love to laugh, dance, and have fun although I am getting content being more laid back now that I am getting older. I always plan to be young at heart, though. My girls describe me as bubblly and they think I'm still young!!! I love that about them. My oal is to Pioneer and go to Pioneer school again. I would also enjoy living in an RV and serving where the need is great. I have had little and I have had an abundance...living in an RV would be easy...heck, I enjoy sleeping in my tent and could live outdoors if I had bathroom and shower facilities...LOL!
  • My favorite books
I'm not much for reading fiction. I love to do research. Whenever I find a subject that interests me, I will read everything I can get my hands on about it....then move on to another subject. Of course..the Bible is my Favorite Book, but I also like my Parallel Bible to use on Studies, and I enjoy the Society's reference books as well as some of my own.
  • My favorite music
Rock, Blues, Old Motown, some Jazz, New Age and a tiny, tiny bit of country. Not much country at all, though. It makes me want to drink beer and cry...hahaha!
  • My favorite quotes
Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass....It's about learning to dance in the rain! There's a crack, a crack, in everything....that's how the light gets in.....that's how the light gets in......(from the song ANTHEM by Leonard Cohen.
