  1. Sweet potatos absolutely yum. I like to add a sweet potato or even some butternut with my regular deep fried potato chips, just adds a little surprise to the chips. Cut the sweet potato the same as the potato but put them on the top as they fry up a little quicker.
  2. I have been using html formatted files on my phone for many years. It all started as a project to convert the nwt and other bibles for my wife to use on her symbian phone as she has difficulty turning pages, long before there was epubs and pdfs of our nwt. I chose html as it could be used on almost any device. Over the years I incorporated many of our publications into personal study and converted dozens of them. I still use them and do all my tms prep using html, I scan the km and make my own fully linked study copy too. One fascinating study project I have been working on is the New Testament based on Newcome's new translation. It is a translation often quoted in our publications icw John 1:1. and is probably one of the few english translations that include Jehovah's name twice in thetext and twice in the footnotes. I am doing an html and 'The Word' format, so one day I hope to share that with everyone. I have been working on this for nearly two years so don't hold your breath:-) only have half of Luke to go though. It includes footnotes and scripture references.
  3. ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa To the funny farm. Where life is beautiful all the time and I'll be happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats and they're coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!!!! I havn't heard that one in a while
  4. I think we have at least one. The African Christian Democratic Party Not sure but there may be another here in South Africa EDIT: According to Wiki, we have 5 with the word Christian in the title
  5. As we know, the picture is of our T-15 tract. The small picture to the left is a French holiday resort. I don't read French but I would suggest the article is pointing to the artists obvious use of the resorts scenary to depict paradise. We have some French brothers on here who may like to translate this for us, but I hope we are not dissappointed by the articles tone?
  6. Being the farmer and former horse owner thats where my eyes were, but it was such a brief clip I thought for a moment mine eyes deceived me. Well it's confirmed then, that was the highlight of the day.
  7. Okay, I finally watched a newsclip of the wedding on Sky 40 mins ago. All very glamorous. Did I see a riderless horse bolt out of the procession at one point? If so, that was probably the highlight for me.
  8. LOL anyone for some one sugar or two, don't mind the picture swinging on the wall over there.
  9. It is cute. It's doing the rounds and landed in my wifes email.
  10. That may have been the one between me and another brother what were trying to give a human translation of a spanish speaking individual who wanted someone to call on them in Dallas, TX. I still think his translation was better than mine. :-p You see )'>, nothing to worry about, we're all in good company. (PS, company was a previous term for congregation wasn't it )
  11. Hi Joseph. That OCD is something irritating isn't it? I know what you mean about that. I want things done just so, (and so has to be my way). Fortunately my brothers in the congregation are very loving and one kind of starts to realize ones own shortcomings in subtle ways, and so it is here on this forum. My brothers here are quite tolerant over my pedantic jabber and after a while I can look back at the situation and realize where I went wrong. Isn't it great to be part of this family. Best part of it is they never demand an apology from me, isn't that so loving. It was summed up so nicely a few days ago in one of the threads here. I forget who or where, but two brothers were having an argument about who was more correct, both insisting that the other was right. I love you all here ><
  12. Nah, Sian, They're just bored. April is a quiet month spent recovering after doing urgent March budget submissions for the coming financial year. May and June is spent getting estimates for all the stuff they don't actually need. July they do some admin work. August and September they might do some real work if the budget is finalized and they get told. October they go get quotes for the things they previously got estimates for that they don't need, now they know the budget is approved. November is mostly spent planning how they will celebrate their """"Year End Function"""". December they celebrate their """"Year End Function"""". January is quiet because everybody is still coming back from the inlaws, Vegas, Hawaii, Paris etc. February is very busily spent fielding complaints from suppliers about unpaid accounts for all those things they didn't really need. So don't worry, things are under control.
  13. I found the brothers comment in the WT lesson, para 17 very interesting. 'All Christians must prepare themselves to resist such an onslaught....' I get a few chilling warnings in those words. That although we are well familiar with Atheism and have had recent articles covering it, being prepared tells me we 'ain't seen nothing yet' and that it will be an onslaught. Well that is a strong or violent attack. Probably co-ordinated in military fashion. That was one key point for me. Hope I'm not repeating things here, havnt got around to reading our WT lesson thread.
