  1. See post by Sister Carmen from New York. Husband was not a witness. He threw an explosive into the kingdom hall but it did not go off.
  2. Yes, I make bread once a week. I use an amish recipe except I use two cups whole wheat flour and four cups white flour. This makes two loaves and lasts about a week. I mix and knead by hand. It is delicious!
  3. I say "thank you and you enjoy your day with your family".
  4. Send to Amazon for a 2-pound package. It lasts a very long time. I bake bread every week and I keep the yeast in the refrigerator. I hope this helps.
  5. Sister Shannon, I agree with you. I watch "You Tube" using Roku. I know you aren't as old as I, but I find some of these older TV shows entertaining. Also, I like to watch "Britain's Got Talent". Again you have to be selective. "To Tell The Truth and "What's My Line" are two of the old shows I watch.
  6. Sorry for my error. It is, "Small Town Librarian".
  7. There is an author/writer in our congregation since we have merged. His pen name is John Legget Jones. I enjoyed his latest book, "Hometown Librarian". If you like reading "clean" books, I recommend it.
  8. I love my Roku. I have Roku 3 and it's worth every penny I paid for it. I did away with cable TV and watch YouTube and Netflix. The only problem is I cannot get the words with YouTube. However, I watch an old TV panel show from the 1950s and 60s, "What's My Line" and it is hilarious. Also I enjoy the Hallmark movies. Most importantly, I watch JW broadcasting.
  9. "But for this very reason I have kept you in existence; to show you my power and to have my NAME declared in all the earth". Ex. 9:16
  10. I think No. 5 should be, "She is the taller of the two sisters."
  11. Lance, when I read your post, I thought to myself, "Bless you Lance".
  12. Leslie, I was in a nursing home in November and December as a result of falling and breaking my hip. (My dog pulled me down on the sidewalk) It was like being in prison. I was so happy when I got to go home.
  13. Lisa, if you like operatic music, go to Google and type in Britain's Got Talent, 2012. Then click on Jonathon and Charlotte. At that time they were 16 and 17. Beautiful voices. I don't know the words they were singing but it was fantastic. I have been missing from the forum since Oct. 29th. I had an accident. My dog, Buttons, got his leash wrapped around my legs and pulled me down on the sidewalk. I had a broken hip, surgery, then a long stay in a nursing home. I am home now, but I'm in a wheel chair. I'm glad to be home.
  14. I do hope we keep getting updates to let us know how Ashya is doing.
  15. Nice to meet you. This is very interesting!
  16. Since we're talking about embarrassing moments, mine happened about four years at my granddaughter's school. It was grandparent's day and I wanted to make a good impression. I had changed my clothes in hurry since I had a cleaning job that morning. When I got home, from the school I discovered I had on one white earring and one red one. Then when I took off my jacket (which I recently purchased), I discovered the large price tag dangling under the sleeve. So much for making a good impression!
  17. Excellent, I too, had tears in my eyes when reading it.
  18. There is a Chinese group in a college town 25 miles east of where I live. One pioneer brother in the group has SIX Chinese studies. I can't wait to tell him the news.
