  1. Egburt Mertenzerburg(?)wife..cant remember her name... Dont recall a blue MG..But the name sounds familiar.....
  2. 'One Toke over the Line' by Brewer and Shipley A Sister we knew* used to sing this as 'one toe over the line'... She was a little bit embarrassed when I told her the actual words.... *Sister Egbert, we had book study at their house in the 70's...
  3. I was pretty much the same, 4 to 5hrs was plenty...Now, closing in on 70yrs, I can sleep longer if I allow myself to, 8 or 10hrs if I want to. The problem with that is I feel pretty sluggish the rest of the day.. The trick, for me, is hit the sack about midnight or so and then get up when I wake up naturally. If I stay in bed and fall back to sleep it messes me up. I average around 6.5 to 7.0 hrs now...
  4. A friend of ours in California got married last weekend, here is a picture of the event..
  5. Oh yeah, how about the one where the alert will transmit a subliminal vibration that will turn people into unthinking pawns of the government?
  6. Interesting read... I especially appreciated points 9.10 and 9.11.. The Van Dosten quote is remarkably clear, anybody, especially a Medical Professional, should be able to grasp the intent and principle behind it.... Very well done Brother, your efforts are appreciated by all of Jehovah's people...
  7. 'If' I should die before A day, I want to be placed in a mining ventilation shaft, on top of many pounds of TNT, and detonated. A meat shotgun, if you will......
  8. If I recall correctly, isn't this Brother you speak of going through a certain trial, something about a broken ankle and surgery? I think that this Brother can be accorded a little extra slack, he's hurting and dealing with as best he can....
  9. If I did this right-- The Hall is just the other side of the rectangular building, where my pointer is..
  10. I just saw a news article saying the death toll is now at 36... https://www.dw.com/en/maui-fire-death-toll-jumps-to-36-after-devastating-blaze/a-66490234?mobileApp=true
  11. I intended to reply to this thread a couple of years ago but, you know---😆
  12. Stick around Brother bobby, the Grand Finale is just around the corner! (sorry you are going through this, it will be a memory worth forgetting soon)
  13. There is a saying that I read about a while back, it appears that they think this is a solution... 'The solution to pollution is dilution'...
  14. Sorry to hear about that Robert..... https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/treatment-tests-and-therapies/ankle-fracture-open-reduction-and-internal-fixation
  15. Me neither. I love a good lightning storm, the louder the crackling roar the better I like it.. Nope, retired Ironworker here. I loved walking the steel, I would do it now if my knees weren't so bad...fun stuff.. I would too, exactly for the fun of it! If there was a way to ride in one, like a bomb proof suit of some type that would guarantee my safety, I would take that ride... in the New System, if allowed, hook me up...
  16. I have had Australian Shepherds in the past and, for me, they are the smartest dogs ever bred... My oldest dog, Shasta, had pups, we kept an all black one(pretty rare)and named her Misty. Probably the smartest dog I have ever known although she did have mental quirks..kinda like an idiot/savant. Shasta had another litter and we kept one of those, I don't recall his name. I had a pretty tall 4x4 truck and we went wheelin one day with the dogs. I drive pretty slow when in rough country and the dogs will run underneath the truck, just doin dog stuff... Well, I ran over the young male. He wasn't hurt too badly but he was definitely not having a good day. We had 3 small tents set up, parents, kids and my brother Don. After I got the pup back to camp we put him in our tent and kept water by him and just waited to see what would happen.. The whole time he was in that tent Misty posted herself in the doorway and would not leave him alone, even when the rest of us took off to play, she stayed by his side, for most of 2 days.. I have never seen anything like that before, nor heard anything like that... Lost Misty in 1995, I am still not over her. She was an amazing friend...
  17. I know that joke! Probably told it a couple of times, maybe even here
  18. Remember that one pops had, a Sunbeam or something like that... How many times did we run over the cord?
  19. Rich, I had a gas powered self propelled and really didn't like it It was heavy, I couldn't man handle it in rough areas, it was just a handful of machine to work with. With your sized yard I would say get a 20" non propelled...jmho. Eric has a batt mower, imma call him and see what he's got...
  20. The inspired view of this is found at 2 Peter 2:12 "...like unreasoning animals that act on instinct and are born to be caught and destroyed..." Animals are 'unreasoning' and 'act on instinct'
  21. Well, y'know, just in case she does....come visit!..
