  1. Yes, Thank you, Sergio. I don't think it necessary to call Bethel. Our prayers, our prayers, our prayers.
  2. Okay, I called the branch & was told that I may please call back before 5 PM EST. That means I should call after 5 AM or before 2 PM Pacific time. I get a 20 minute break at 11 AM but will try to call before I leave for work at 6 AM and will post as soon as I get an answer.
  3. Well, since I started this I guess It only seems right that I do it. I will let you know as soon as I know. I am doing it now
  4. I am reading reports of an attack on our 2017 RC in Angola. Can't seem to find any reliable sources to establish the facts. Does anybody know if it is true?
  5. It is possible that an update may not affect your circle of theocratic activity..... at the moment. Some updates may simply be bug fixes that enhance effectiveness. These may not be noticeable until the feature is used. Still, it would be good to know what we have that we didn't. The fastest way to know what an update affects is to go to the app store and read what the latest changes were. :-)
  6. As am I. I am still in training with WT CAD, and have yet to get my registration number for it. Ran into a glitch when I discovered that my DC-50 got yanked because it was pre-November , 2016. I still had a year to go before it expired and wasn't aware that I would need to submit a new one. I am guessing that would put a hold on it. Oh well, we take heart in the fact that he that endures to the end will be slaved, eh? No better master could we have, lol I didn't know that either. What I thought was curious is that the first 4 digets were the same on my drivers license. Guessing I shouldn't use that as a password, lol. ALSO: "Moses now said to Jehovah: “Pardon me, Jehovah, but I have never been a fluent speaker, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant, for I am slow of speech and slow of tongue, can I email, text or just use JWTalks instead?" LOVE THIS!
  7. I really like my Rigid cordless tool kit. To begin with, it carries a lifetime warranty on batteries as well as the power tools. (Be sure to register )when you turn a broken/defective battery or tool in you're likely to get the latest model in its place. The saw is very light weight. Wife prefers it over my old worm drive Skill Saw. For most applications, so do I. It doesn't have the torque but that is offset by the inconvenience of extension cord and/or generator. The 1/4" impact driver is also very handy. I have been using mine on everything from fences to transmission rebuilding. It will torque a 3/8 bolt right to spec. Bigger bolts will perhaps need 1/2 grunt on a hand tool but there it is. When it comes to dismantling, it takes the wind out of those long threads. If it's especially tight you only need to get it to budge then let the machine do the rest. The other tools are nice as well, but that's my tool of choice.
  8. Another one! As sad as this is, what can we do to keep these things from happening to our dear ones?
  9. BBBBBBBut I like "shall"! My children enjoy saying "shall". A growing number of my friends are saying "shall". My wife has been using it for nigh on ten and nine years. I have even caught some of my former workmates engage the "shall". "Shall" has an air of class associated with it. I have gone so far as to use it in contraction form, ie ("I shalln't"). Please, no.... don't let this decaying world stop shalling. Let's give it the shall to live...... well, maybe not. um.... what were we talking about?
  10. I too was asked if I would help with cleaning during the RC. I agreed with the proviso that I be able to listen to the parts I missed. I also approached 2 elders about it. They said they would get back to me about that. 1 month before the RC I informed the cleaning brother that as the branch strongly encouraged us to take in all of the program & that there was no word on my being able to listen to the parts I would be missing, that I would not be able to help with cleaning during the session. I will be available before, during intermission, and after the sessions . He was visably upset & I don't blame him, but this is special considering how deep we are in the "time of the end". I really don't think I have a bad attitude, but this kind of thang can create one. I'm only sharing this to let you know that you're not alone.
  11. I have been able to see them before and during the meeting. One evening we were not able to attend the meeting and the phone line got to where we couldn't make out what the friends were saying. We went to the library app and saw the assigned video and at least had that.
  12. Unless I am mistaken, the Supreme Court trumps all other rulings. It is the Supreme Court that would make the March 2 warning invalid. I am not saying it is not possible. I am just asking, what over rules The Supreme Court?
  13. The warning letter was dated March 2, 2016. The supreme court ruled on April 15, 2016. I am under the impression that The Supreme Court in Moscow would have jurisdiction over all of Russia & not just a portion of Russia. If the Supreme Court refused to liquidate a congregation, would it not follow that the March 2 letter would be trumped by the April 15 ruling? It is my understanding that the attempted liquidation is on the same grounds which is the accusation of extremism. Please help me understand this.
  14. http://www.rapsinews.com/judicial_news/20160415/275877434.html "Russian Supreme Court refuses to ban Jehovah’s Witnesses branch" "MOSCOW, April 15 (RAPSI, Artem Ponomarev) – Russia’s Supreme Court on Friday declined to ban the Jehovah’s Witnesses of Tyumen as extremist organization, RAPSI reports from the courtroom. The Tyumen Regional Court ordered the liquidation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses branch in 2015. The court granted a motion filed by prosecutors and declared the group extremist. The Supreme Court thus reversed the lower court’s ruling." RAPSI is the Russian Legal Information Agency. I was directed to rapsinews.com then entered Jehovah's Witnesses in the search box & this is what I got. It seems official but I have never heard of it & the branch has said nothing of this though it is two weeks old. Can anyone help ascertain the validity of this?
