  1. My husband and I attended the special convention in Malta. What an experience! The video brings back many wonderful memories.
  2. Husband and I are busy getting ready to attend upcoming Spec Convention in Malta we are bubbling over with excitement Are there any other friends on the forum going to Malta or does anyone currently serve on Malta
  3. Very happy for our Creole speaking brothers and sisters to have receive the NWT translation. Looking forward to release of French language translation in the future.
  4. No haven't been away from organization. Sorry for using old terminology I just must have been having a mental flash back when I write my original post I was baptized in 1975 and been active ever since..,,,just getting old
  5. Thanks for your suggestions. We reviewed the information in The KM and will be following the directions listed there on preparing a letter to the branch and asking for a congregation to work with. We understand that we then submitted the letter to our local Service committee which will add comments to our letter and then forward to the branch involved. We are currently supporting aFrench language pre-group in our area and thought this might be a great way to polish up our French language skills during the time we are there..We are calling it a vacation but plan on making service our focus each day. We know a family that does something similar for several years in the past and have found it to be a very encouraging experience
  6. Has anyone had the experience of vacation pioneering in a foreign country? My husband and I are investigating spending a month with a English language group in France. Would love to hear from others who might have done something similar.
  7. Not from Malta but i would love to know if there are any friends from Malta on the forum my husband and I will be attending the special convention there in October
  8. The android AP OFFLINE BROWSER Pro costs $2.50 Its install is very different than the IPAD version but it fairly easy to install. When the app opens you click the " + " sign at the bottom of the screen and the edit screen opens. From the edit screen- on the LINK line you type in the web address ( jw.org or if a foreign language such as French, type jw.org/fr/ Then select the options you desire. Make sure you set the MAX Depth level for links. The HELP function explains what each option means. Once you have selected your options and click OK and DOWNLOAD. it works really well.
  9. Sister Julie, Some other excellent free online resources to help you learn a new language are DUOLINGO.COM and MEMRISE.COM I have used both and highly recommend. May Jehovah bless your efforts to broaden you ministry by learning a new language.

  • How I found the Truth
My husband and I were contacted from the door to door work.
I was in college enrolled in a teacher certification program to be a history teacher. Initially it was my interest in how the Bible prophecies were fulfilled throughout history that caused me to agree to a personal study of the bible. I studied for 6 months and was convinced it was the Truth. I studied the TRUTH BOOK.
