  1. Thank you very much! I just noticed that he has a new program to merge notes - JWLManager (the old JWLMerge ceased to work and the brother quit the project)
  2. I attach the excell sheet I made for the teritory servant to use, adapted for a tablet, so there are no macros You just have to translate to your desired language Instructions: Just change the things I tell you bellow On this sheet put all the publishers names on column "A": On the same sheet put all the territory numbers on column "E" On Sheet "Início" is where you work with the program At the moment you have already lots of information entered and this is how you can do queries to the information: This is how you enter a record for each transaction, be it someone picking up a territory or someone returning a territory: Everything has drop down lists so there is no need to write (only on "Notes") There is no enter or submit button, everything is automatically updated Don't change anything else on the structure like removing lines, looking into formulas (array formulas) or everything fails!RDT_EN_v3.xlsx You can delete all data on the records form line 22 (but don't delete the table) If you have already existing records on other formats just send it to me and I'll put it in the program so that you can start working with queries
  3. That's great and look really natural. Please share the app you're using That, in bold, doesn't make sence because wearing a beard now has nothing to do with being exemplary or not! I think that in things that are very deep ingrained in our culture they ussualy are the first to show up and give the example. I'me remembering the transition from paper to digital. Br Jackson was one of the first to use a tablet in the stand. There were several jokes between him and br Splane about it Now you see this same Br JAckson using a paper bible more than often. That persistent use of the tablet was mainly to give the example that it was good to use one (there were many against it at the time) So I think that one of the GB may grow a beard for some time just to give the example that you can now be exemplary with one
  4. If they had facial hair after receiving counsel they were not exemplary in the first place So they definitely are not ready to go 😉
  5. When you think of it any light is new light. The light that touches your eyes now, will never return to touch it again So, I think it's just nitpicking, that discussion about new light vs brighter light
  6. That terms of use you are referring to have nothing to do to the issue in question. It concerns methods like for example making an app to access epubs and gather information on them to build databases - And that is the meaning of mining a website (I posted a definition some posts back) The way apps are built using those methods is what's against the terms Downloading or watching the videos outside of the main site or jwlib is using the site with the methods explicitly provided because there is there a play button and a download button. No workaround is needed its there explicitly available (see image on a previous post) Agreed
  7. And what about this? Possibly an Elder against watching the BC by a link not yet on jwlib, receives the S-147 announcements for November (already available) with news about what is inside the BC
  8. Br, on the contrary! If soeone shouts that the link is available is not to be regarded as the first one or the best or the one that got there first... Its just out of unselfish reason let others know that they can watch the program as soon as they want it to. It's not like they have something that you don't' have, because it's ther for everyone that wants to see it. Everyone, not a select few A select few indeed had the priviledge to watch it sooner than the rest, back in October, but we didn't got upset because of that did we? Why being so upset for one thing that is absolutely a no ussue. If you want to see it right now, just see it (lot's of brothers have offered you that opportunity and I'm doing it too) If you don't want to see it why bother with the ones that want it?
  9. I don't think this links can be thought of as a box not yet opened by the literature servant The links are not in a "box" that ones need to pry open nor are they in a file server like the name "it's on the server" may suggest and that we would need to search for it in a confidential directory. They are available in a regular html page that even has interactive elements, like a play button and a download button. If there was no intent for that link to be used why put those buttons on the page and why not use just a file list available only for the ones putting it on the display of the jw.org main site? For example, the jw-russia website is not publicized anywhere on jw.org, does that mean we are not allowed to look for news there unless they are posted on the main jw.org main site? But it is an oficial jw site also Also, the link in the main site usually is available in some languages ahead of others, does that mean that I mus twait for may language to be available and refrain to watch it in another language that I undrestand? Is someone is uppset for that being available on an alternate location why not write a letter to the branch advising them to put it in a secret place for no one to reach it
  10. I think the term "mining" is being misused in this forum and is not why's it's used on the terms of use of jw.org (by definition applied to the site and not other places) https://www.arimetrics.com/en/digital-glossary/web-mining The use of web and data mining has other purposes that could be malicious to the organization and has nothing to do to the action of trying codes to access the link where a video, picture or publication is placed on the internet. That is an official link and finding it is as easy as the organization makes it It could be made with a large indecipherable code that would be available only to ones with the code Any onedrive link (for example) that we can share is constructed with that in mind. Anyone with the link can access the information but that link can't be guessed The jw.org links on the server have nothing to do with that and are far from secret... So that's that. Doesn't seem fair to me to infere that ones that use the link are not following bible principles
  11. I can se the dust forming in the horizon. The BC carriage is coming
  12. I wouldn't say dead wrong... if it's a jw.org link I'd say it's oficial. That's my opinion, thats a conscience matter for me to use it or not. If the brothers didn't want us to watch they would have done it differently in many ways. They also can track how many downloads and views happen before it's available from the site. Nothing was made or announced against it. I take it there is nothing wrong happening here, just don't use it if you don't want to and leave be the ones who watch it as soon as it is available from an oficial source (jw.org link) This is different from waiting for the end of a convention to go get the publications because an announcement is made to go to the line after the convention is over. There is no similarity to such announcement here In fact there was an announcement with this specific words:
  13. Any of you, Elders, have received the s-147 (monthly announcements) for November? On my part it's unusually late... I'm wondering if it will come only after the 6th
  14. I have a Samsung s21 ultra and it opens jwl also without me saying "one" And I always have a bunch of other apps opened Maybe it's the 512gb memory that you must have that is slower than the 128gb that I have. The amount of material downloaded shouldn't impact on the speed to open, but the speed of the media where it is stored yes has an impact Definitely 60s to open makes me think there is something wrong with the hardware Even my tablet Samsung a7 lite opens faster!
  15. We had also a similar thing to this book on the previous Bible, on the end In portuguese It was called "bible topics to talk about"
  16. It's more a book for reference, but off course you can study it from begining to end 👍 And sheperding visits
  17. https://www.jw.org/finder?wtlocale=E&docid=702023021&srcid=share
  18. New Book available on jw.org Scriptures for Christian Living (jw.org)
  19. Does any one know if there is any way to antecipate the download of publications or it works only for videos?
