Odds of winning Powerball is about 1:300 million, and I would say Holy Spirit doesn't pick those winners either!

Hello all, i've been here for I think about 2 years now and its been a very cool niche to be in but I think for now its best I spent less time reading posts and thinking up witty (and usually controversial) replies, its best that I be moving on to concentrate on some more important things. I'm glad I got to be in virtual contact with some cool cats. Hope I didn't stir the pot too badly. I never meant any harm, despite what some seemed to think! I wish you all the best and that your life, faith, and the whole association of brothers continue to comfort you as you live your lives. BTW, Sandy finally got to me... we lost power during the day today and I waited in my first 1:15 gas line. Still, one of my friends waited 4+ hours so I really dont feel too badly about it!

Don't panic if you don't hear from her for a few days. From everything I gather, I'd say 75% of people seem like they don't have any power. A lot of those have been told it may be 7-10 days.

I feel really bad for the Jersey shore which totally got devestated. Seems like everyone else is without power, and its a real mess up here with wires and trees down everywhere. But mostly its just a lot of inconvenience and cleaning up the damage. The real people effected are those along the shoreline which is a major disaster. Too bad, its just a beautiful stretch of beach homes/beach/boardwalk.

NJ kind of overreacts to these things. There's going to be a ton of rain, a ton of power outages, and I'm sure some very isolated tragedies due to trees falling. But the people who are going to get flooded already know who they are. For the rest of us, its basically going to be just sitting back, enjoing the rain and wind and a day off from school and work!

Of course the whole study is mostly absurd because in some places you physically can't live on $34,000 per year while in other places you could live like a king for a half decade with one year's salary. It all depends on your salary relative to your cost of living.

I went there, signed up and it was totally dead so I never signed back in after the first week. Its "active user" total is bloated by how Google gets people to sign up. Most of these people, like me, sign in, think its neat, see its dead and don't really return. Maybe one day it will take over but Facebook has a lot of rope left before they hang themselves. Internet domination right now.
