  1. When our CO visited last week, he gave all those going out in service a JW.org button. He wore his pinned to his front pocket. So, we were obviously meant to wear them. I chose to pin mine to my service bag. The CO wouldn't have handed them out if not backed by the organization.
  2. No, I don't have iSilo. Off for Service Merting now. Will download iSilo this evening. Will ask for more help at that time, if required. Thank you for prompt response.
  3. Well, probably asking a question here that has been answered before but cannot find answer, so your patience is required. . . I installed 2013 Watchtower Library on my pc, just like I do every year, and all is well. I enrolled at Meekspace, but cannot find the program that I need to get the Library up and running on my iPad. I'm fairly tech literate (for an old lady) but could use some specific instructions. Please and thank you!
  4. Tyvm. I had not read the KM properly. Thought the assignment for this week was for entire Chapter 1. If not for your bookmark. . .(sigh)
  5. Thank you all for the update. Our Christian family in the Phillipines is in my prayers.
  6. Lots of humorous stuff here, but. . .the pic of old gal in the driver's seat had me laughing out loud. Guess it was just too true not to be hilarious.
  7. Been wondering about that, but think it is still farther down the road. They obviously want us to use the tablets in the ministry because of all the internet functions they have provided for us. But using the tablets on the platform? That's a pretty big change that might be slow in coming.
  8. I, too, am eagerly waiting the annotation feature! When I used to select the verses on which I wanted to comment, it was easy to do with previous downloaded Bible, for verses could be highlighted and notes could be made. Also (a bit off topic?) I am anxious for the 2014 Daily Reading in January. Hopefully it will have links to the newest Bible version.
  9. What a sweet, warm reminder to all of us. I thank you!!
  10. The Faithful Slave has given us this wonderful app which is fully capable of keeping up with today's technology. This app did not come about overnight. They had to have seen quite a while back that the tablets could be an extremely useful tool in the ministry. How nice to be able to read the verse using our translation, then from a translation with which the householder is familiar. With many tablets capable of connection to the internet, how wonderful that we have so many languages on our website. What an incredible way to show someone our literature in their language. We have many people in our congregation's territory who live "off the grid" (with no electricity). Yet most of them have iPhones or tablets containing a chip to connect wirelessly to the internet, and an automobile to recharge the battery in the device. Certainly the internet has many questionable sites, but it can be a two edged sword. We can use it for good rather than for bad. I used to make my living programming in computer languages that no longer exist and even tho I'm an old girl, I have always tried my best to keep up with computer technology. So, all these wonderful gifts we have been given by the Faithful Slave absolutely delight me.
  11. I've been doing the happy dance since 5am. This app is truly wonderful. It already has over 2800 5-star reviews. The features are amazing. And isn't it wonderful that The Slave had the app available today! Think of all the work that went into getting this ready for us. They obviously realize that the tablet is an almost essential tool for a lot of us. It certainly is for me.
  12. Have the OKM on my iPad and have no paper version of it. Will have to wait until next one is distributed and use it in my submission. Not sure how I can take a pic of myself holding both required docs. Sounds like I might not have enough hands, but I'll give it a go.
