  1. My congregation leaves almost more than half less the magazines we use to place before. Instead of 2500 magazines for two congregations, we order like 1100 at most. And we probably place 900 for the two months.
  2. The year text will be “Go make disciples... baptizing them”. (Mt 28:19).
  3. Notice that the November magazine should have the FURST study article for JANUARY 2020. That’s why I said what I did. And I personally never understood why the text of the year had to be announced at the AM and not directly in a magazine. Besides, we could still get the December magazine and so on, it’s only one study article that features the yeartext... not the following magazines. It’s just an idea, but nothing official, you know.
  4. The year text could be announced in this magazine and that’s why it’s not yet released. That is my guess. Beside is more logical to have an article on the yeartext right when the year starts than in March like we’ve always done it.
  5. No... it’s a video to be released this month for the congregations. It was supposed to be confidential. Also, the whole news about our Spanish brothers getting their bibles should have been confidential and now it’s all over Facebook. 😐😐 the news were supposed to come out in 15 days or so.
  6. Omg why are they leaking this ! Take it off please. The Bible is not meant to be out until the 19th !! I beg you..,
  7. The new French Bible has many similarities with the Haitian Creole Bible from 2015. For us too it was a little hard to get used to changes such as Mika for Miche, Sefànya for Sofoni, Agayi for Aje, Neyemya for Neyemi, etc. I did appreciate the change for loving kindness being “lanmou fidèl” or “lanmou ak fidelite”.
  8. Some rumor is that the French Bible will be released this Friday. Who knows (?!)
  9. Did you notice? It seems we will be singing a brand new song on Sunday afternoon... cause the pwogram says “Cloaing song and prayer”... who knows ? I hope we could sing the original song: “The joy of conventions”.
  10. I think we will get a new My Book of Bible Stories book on Saturday.
  11. Now, someone please explain to us if the bibles are indeed so different! What does the brazilian one has or lacks from the portugal one in terms of grammar, meanings etc?
  12. It's funny it all came by surprise even for the portuguese/african ppl. No meeting or announcement!
  13. https://www.jw.org/download/?fileformat=PDF&output=html&pub=nwt&option=TRGCHlZRQVNYVrXF Is there!
  14. Well i would be pleased to answer this question. I hope we get a song about Jehovah's love: "Jehovah will help you" based on Isaiah 41:10 for example. Similar to song 60. I want another song on Paradise!!! let's call it, "A new world ahead".... And i want another song to sing to our brothers in time of distress, like: "You're never alone!" or a song for new ones: "We are your family"
  15. Ok this is what I'm trying to say. Out of the list (12 online) the other 4 are African languages not online yet. Ok, just three languages of the list are actual REVISIONS: it means that they had the complete Bible from the 80's so the text changed. English, Korean, and Portuguese had both Hebrew and Greck Scriptures before the 'new' Bible. However, the rest of the languages, like Haitian Creole, Estonian, Fijian, never had the Hebrew Scriptures. So, they are not revisions. They are the original edition of the NWT rendered to those languages. Although, the Greek text has changed and improved (is crazy how better the creole bible got now), the appendix of these bibles don't say they are revisions, but they are based on a revision. So, that's why it was so easy to have these bibles translated first than French, German, etc., because they were doing the original translation job, not revision of the existent text.
  16. 16 languages actually. There are three actual revisions of the ancient 1984 text (Portuguese and Korean and English). And the rest are Bibles completed. The greek scriptures of many of these languages were released between 2007-2011.
