  1. Understood, but is there anything you really don't like about him?
  2. I am not worried about the size of building lots, I am more worried about how we divide up the water falls, with or without lakes. And how will lions be allotted?
  3. Who is "My Goodness ?" Our source of all goodness?
  4. I am sorry for you. My wife developed that condition shortly after we were married. The condition went away during her first pregnacy and never returned. That was 61 years ago. Sorry this no help but you have have our sympathy.
  5. It would be good to get together for a meeting to resolve what exactly we don't know about this topic. I have scheduled a meeting for the Pacific NW Jellyspoons you are invited, tune in next Wednesday: You are invited!!! I come before you, to stand behind you, To tell you something I know nothing about. Next Thursday, which is Good Friday, There will be a mothers' meeting for fathers only. Admission is free; pay at the door. Pull up a seat and sit on the floor. We will be discussing the four corners of the round table.
  6. very unusual, appears to have white topsides and black hull.
  7. Why? Money is only a medium to facilitate the bartering process. You have something I want, I have something you want. Easier to trade some paper than take your ten chickens for my lamb. Someone needs chickens. "I have chickens how many do you need?" "Thank you, four should do it." "Come spring I will have a lot of lambs to pass around. "
  8. Reading and laughimg at the gravestones reminded me of a series of Little Willy jokes that went around eons ago. After reading the epitaphs this one came to mind: Little Willy in best of sashes, Played to near the fires ashes. By and by the room grew chilly, But no one liked to poke up Willy. Any one else remember these or similar? I believe the first one I remember was in a collection by Bennet Cerf. Anyone else old enought to have read Benet Cerf?
  9. Since one does not wear headsets when jumping out of aircraft is it safe to assume I am looking at a fellow pilot? I have only known a handfull of jws that were pilots. Will we make use of airplanes in the new system?
  10. I look forward to working with Jerry. My experience is construction some heavy some high rise. The best projects were when we had an in-house engineer and we all worked together. They did the math and I poured the concrete. Last project I was on was the Puyallup Assembly Hall. That had the best pay rate. My how time flys
  11. Really? I need to research this. Please point me in the right direction.
  12. You can tell because we allow hair on the upper lip, Amish do not.
  13. Some BOEs are awaiting direct authorization from HQ before using the program. I have a close friend, same ancient age as I, that refuses to adopt it even though his congregration uses it.
  14. Or maybe they are showing the angels are all Caucasion?
  15. There were two starter beards among appointed brothers at our Sunday afternoon meeting.
  16. Denim was never forbidden, just not generally acceptable for meetings or service in the US. Oops, I am repeating myself Kinda goes along with a CO that told the pioneer sisters that they had to wear nylons out in service.
  17. They were never forbidden, just not generally acceptable for meetings or service in the US.
  18. To a point perhaps but to say the Scriptures did not support arguments against beards was right. The great wisdom in this is where the scriptures are silent so are we. Will pantsuits be next?
  19. My first computer around 1983 was a Leading Edge 286 notebook with 10 megabites of memory and a floppy drive. I could almost double the memory with a synthasiser program but it did slow it down, way down. It had a small floppy drive and I remember it took 18 floppys to enter the Insight book into Qverse.
  20. Some times I go silent and silently sing the songs from the 1944 red songbook, sometimes the green song book, you know like "he had never seen rain before," just for old tmes sake.
