Last month I bought a keyboard for my tablet in contemplation of using it for pioneer school coming July.
But figured hey I could use it now to practice my typing and get my speed + accuracy up, right? WRONG! At least its how Im thinking. I have no idea what's going on but before the purchase, at the library I was doing almost 60 wpm, yet at home I'm not even 40 wpm. And that was just last month!

You should have been offered paper copy and/or digital copy option. The only way you could use the digital version is if you were able to bring your tablet with you. I tell you, the digital version has certainly sped up studying and looking up all the references. You shouldn't have to stay up ALL night. Also, we were able to get ours about a month in advance so we could study beforehand also. The one-week course goes FAST. They cover a LOT of information per day. I thoroughly enjoyed my pioneer school back in 2015.
They tell you not to video tape or record any of the school but that is normal.

Isn't it funny? When we were young having a male student in our typing class was a real novelty - as typing was seen as something only women did!! Now I bet those male students we had in our classes are glad they did it.
Learning to touch type was one of the best moves I did - thank you Dad for encouraging me to do that. Just persevere Luezette, its much easier to use an attached keyboard when typing talks than the one they give you on the tablet. I've almost worn my one out.
