Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM has auto-focus issues. I have had the lens for few months and returning it to the shop. Please be careful with this particular lens as there are few videos on Y.Tube by people reporting the issue and this is not an exaggerated problem. There is a lot of bad copies around.

Had a free hearing screening a 
couple of weeks back.  Found out
that being exposed to 45 years of
loud machinery noise is extremely hazardous to your ears.  
Tests showed I have lost 50%
of my hearing.
Picked up a pair of digital hearing aids
today.  $1400.00 each.
Talk about sticker shock. 
I was able to hear tonight's meeting a whole lot better, though. 

I was just reviewing my statuses from times past.  I laughed my head off when I found one near my baptism, about putting on the new personality and about how I was too fat to fit into it, and it was stuck around the knees..... it's now about waist high and I can't seem to get it past the hip area... anyone have any butter?

There are some things that hurt so bad, you  can’t think about them, you help if you can, but, it hurts too much to think about it. Pray about it yes, but leave it with Jehovah, and, help if you can.

Well folks, though my new gym considers cycling a class, personally I consider working out a class.
So today I had my very first class today called "Total Body" and it truly worked the total body. It was serious work, yet so much fun! 
But it wouldn't be fair to say it was all me. A woman took me under her wings and very patiently showed me the proper way to even hold the kettles, dumbbells, how to properly move my body. I honestly don't know what I would've done without her. I mean, the trainer did his part (it wasn't Yusuf though, he had a class prior to this one), but the trainer for the "Total Body" said I did good. 
So I'm going to stay with this class until I'm strong enough for Yusef's class (abs and butt) which is a bit more strenuous I was told, plus continue with the cycling, though according to their posted schedule Yusuf also has the "Total Body" class too at times. Actually, I think you can do all the classes if you have the time. They even have running called the 14 day challenge to lose weight, though I don't think I'm interested. 
I feel I'm finally doing something other than ride a stationary bike. 
But actually, I'm still a member of Planet Fitness, which I'll remain until next summer when the contract ends. This way I can use them to practice some "moves" once I'm at PRX.

Eleven days to the shortest day. Why has this year been so hard?

Somewhere, I remember the suggestion that we memorize songs and scriptures. I got the songbook out. Fizzled. Then, as I was listening to the oldies station, and singing along, it dawned on me. Listen to those songs. A few are my absolute favorites. There are mine because I have listened to them over and over. I choose,”Loght in a darkened world” to learn. Did this because I thought of it as a dirge. Beautiful poetry. I want to memorize a babtismal song. (Well on my way) and a Memorial song! Some of our songs are just too beautiful for words! 
I really enjoy Clive Cussler audio books. For the first time, I haven’t popped it in the CD player! I feel squimish shutting down a Kingdom song for that book! 
Scriptures. Another thing...
