I fell yesterday. In service. I was getting out of a back seat, my feet got tangled in my purse strap, and down I went. Initially, flat on my back. Then I bounced, and my head hit the ground, and it bounced. It was a hard fall. I remember as I was in the second phase, thinking, “Oh great, a two phase fall”. 
I'm sore today. Actually pretty sore, and I did my neck no favors. At my age, it could have been life altering. Have you any idea how grateful I am? I assure you, that will not happen again. 
I could have broken so many things. I feel like I really jarred myself. As I said, one thankful person, I am. 
(It was my call, I went on it, then we all went home.) A long day that ended well!)

The nurse in charge of setting up Home Health Care came this morning.
She stayed about 2 hours and collected a ton of information.
On Tuesday, a guy is coming to evaluate my Mom's ability, or lack of ability, to care for herself.  If she qualifies, the paperwork will be passed on to Medicare and her supplemental insurance company.  If her insurance approves coverage, then, and only then , will my Mom be able to receive some medical assistance.
 
Until then, we will continue to assist her in every way we are qualified to do so.
Neither of us can draw blood or do a lab analysis for her Cumadin levels.
 
In the meantime, I had to go back home because I have a doctor's appointment of my own tomorrow.   Our baby sister will hopefully take my place until I can get back.  She works full time but would be there for her after work.
 
My brother Brother Peter does such an amazing job of caring for my Mom.
I was able to handle all the stress of this past week, until she started saying hateful things about him behind his back.  I reminded her of all that he has done/is doing for her and that without his help, she would be in a nursing home.  Only, I didn't word it quite that nicely.  I am ashamed and sorry that I lost my cool.  But it wasn't her failing body that I couldn't handle.  It is her failing mind.  She sleeps 20 to 23 hours a day.  Her waking hours are filled with fear and confusion.  But, mostly she is frustrated.  I am sure her frustration lends to some of her darker moments.
 
She has no concept of what day, month or year it is.
 
This morning, she wanted me to open the drapes so she could watch my sister Teri get on the school bus.  My sister Teri is 49 years old.  
 
Besides being mean and nasty sometimes, there is the fixation.
She keeps going on and on and on and on about wanting us to take her to some non-existent park to look for her mother's rings.  (They went missing when they moved her from one hospital facility to another.  They were stolen and reported stolen but are gone forever.)  
 
We can explain the reality of the situation until we are both blue in the face, but she refuses to believe us.  My brother has driven her all around for hundreds of miles asking her to point out the park where she left the rings sitting on two wooden posts...just to humor her.  She feels so badly that she is responsible for the loss of her mother's rings, so we try to explain that she didn't LOSE them, they were STOLEN from her.  All to no avail.    
 
Dimentia is proof positive that we were never designed to grow so old.

Had the privilege of our Bethel representative and wife stay at our house for the weekend. Beautiful people and a brilliant weekend for us and the congregation. So encouraging!!

So, yesterday, being the bright personality I think I am (haha) ... I find a bright pink hat with black lace to wear in the field service yesterday ... sun is very harsh here in NZ ... walking along I go to put my hand on top of my hat to stop the breeze from blowing it away ... and there was this big fluffy bumblebee on top -  must have thought it was the biggest pink daisy he'd ever seen. Man those bumble's can bite can't they? Expect sympathy from the brothers? Nup they couldn't stop laughing ... they now call me Bumble. 

Thinking and praying for you brother.   Please take care and lean on Jehovah in these difficult times.

My Mom's  body is failing her. 
Hope to get her on hospice care today.
Talked to her about her funeral preferences.
She doesn't  want one.
 
I was so relieved, because I just could not have tolerated
a catholic church service and all those Satanic lies.
Not with the marvelous resurrection hope Jehovah gives us.
 
So we will be holding a celebration of her LIFE, instead.

I've just been informed by Social Security that I am no longer considered disabled according to their rules and will lose all support in a couple of months. I've never worked in my life, never able to maintain a strict schedule or cope long term with the chronic pain, irritable bowel and insomnia. It always inevitably leads back into chronic depression and mania. I can do a little, but then I have to follow up with resting for a day.

They don't have a majority of my physical issues on file from doctor's reports which is a problem, as I was considered disabled for mental issues... but they were caused by the physical issues in the first place, just haven't been able to find a doctor who understands or properly tests for them yet.

Of course, one should expect to read such a letter on one's anniversary of baptism, amirite? (Luke 22:31) “Simon, Simon, look! Satan has demanded to have all of you to sift you as wheat.

I just wanted to say that I love this forum and am thankful for the time I've been able to spend with everyone I've met here. ❤️Before I inevitably regress into insanity and say and do things which I will surely regret.

I needed last night's reminder to keep MY illustrations concise and to consider the audience.  

We're in Albany GA for our assembly day tomorrow. On the drive up we saw so much destruction from the hurricane. Huge trees down everywhere. Blue tarps on so many roofs. I would have never thought there would be so much damage this far away from the center of the storm. 

So glad I don't like  turkey and that I have been able to have a quiet day getting ready for tonight's meeting. 
 

On way home from service, (and errands) a rock hit my front tire. Flattened it. Immediately. I sat beside the road, in the dark, for an hour and a half. I prayed for safety. And, I wasn’t moved to put on my flashers, but to wait. I’d phoned Triple A, the roadside service. 
There was a place to park, a miracle, (almost) 
I know I didn’t have my flashers on, but a good thirty cars, even a sheriffs vehicle sailed past me. And, people know my car. That shocked me. 
I told them at the store what happened. They will let the community know. 
I drive a Subaru. And I know the rock hit the sidewall. Now, I get to find out if I will have to get new tires. It’s parked outside, with the sissy tire on.
 

I am scared. Terrible things happened in  the nearby city. Things are getting worse and worse.

My husband just came in the house and tried to drop a big COLD
snowball down my back.  He thought it was hysterically funny.
Me, not so much.
 
Must be a 'guy' thing. 

A FB memory just popped up .... 2 years ago jw.org had 500 languages. In just 2 years it has nearly doubled and currently stands at 978. Isaiah 60:22

I ended up in the ER after the meeting today.  An elderly sister needed some shampoo and asked me to take her to the store.  I passed out twice in the store, twice in the ambulance and three or four more times in the ER.
Every time someone attempted to sit me up, I passed out.  So I finally asked them to please just let me lie flat on my back.  I didn't have a stroke or a heart attack, or a seizure. It wasn't my blood sugar.
The ER doc thought I was just dehydrated.  But I don't think I was. My legs quit working just before I passed out the first time.  And I was completely paralyzed when I woke up in the ambulance.  Strange.
 
They couldn't find out why I couldn't remain conscious in a vertical position, so after observing me for four hours and giving me a few bags of IV fluids, they finally said I could leave if I could sit up without passing out.  I could.  So I called Sister Linda/Loopy and asked if she could give me a ride back to my car. 
She kindly rescued me and I made it home okay.
All in all...
A really strange way to spend a Sunday.

Technology...yesterday, after Service, I can’t find my phone. I did the necessary search. Then, “Go find my phone”. 
As it ends up, I’m 9-10 miles from my phone. (It went home in the brothers car I was in for the morning) and, my iPod was 10 miles in the other direction.(Home!) 
I’d have never imagined such would be possible, even 10 years ago. 
I’ll get my phone at the meeting tonight! 

I can't believe that soon I will have been on this forum for 4 years!!
