  1. Hello dear friends, Greetings to you all. Our KH is being used by 6 congregations. We 4 brothers have been giving the responsibility by elders to set up the hybrid audio/video system for the meetings. Our congregation does not have the audio interface and hence it's becoming to set up the connections as shown in the sample correctly. We just have this amplifier with us, which was enough for us to run our meetings until now. We have tried everything but we have not been able to get the system working. We have got some additional weeks to finetune this as there is some maintenance work going on in our KH and hence our in-person meetings have not yet started. I was hoping to get some directions and suggestions from you dear friends if you too faced such a situation, and if you got this working. All suggestions are welcome! Regards, Dominic
  2. Dear friends, Does anyone have a copy of the clock PPT/Video that's used in conventions for the friends to know that it's time for them to be seated? Thanks in advance dear friends. Regards,
  3. Hello brothers and sisters, We are a group of 5 brothers and sisters, ranging from 27 to 70 years of age. We have a good airbnb in Gold Coast and are booking today. Are there any friends and sisters here with whom we can stay in Sydney for 4 days, from 1st Dec? We are very keen to actually stay with the local brothers and sisters and make some good friends. We will be staying at the branch-designated hotel for convention delegates in Melbourne - Bayview on the park. Looking forward to your views dear brothers and sisters. Regards, Dominic
  4. Hello dear brothers and sisters, Greetings to all! Thank you for all your messages and suggestions so far. They have been really helpful in knowing the landscape of this great land. We are very excited as the day of our travel comes nearby. We will be in Melbourne from 18th Nov to 26th Nov and then will visit the Gold Coast for 3 days and then Sydney for 3 days after Gold Coast and then fly back to Mumbai on 5th December. We are really excited and are looking forward to making some life-long friends when we get to meet them in this trip and enjoy our brotherhood in the International Convention. We just needed some help in finding some inexpensive accommodation in Gold Coast and Sydney. We are a bit tight on budget and hence are looking out for some inexpensive places to stay in these 2 places. Any suggestions, dear brothers? With warm Christian love and greetings. Regards, Dominic
  5. Hello brother, we are from Mumbai, India. Dear brothers and sisters, thank you for all your wonderful tips and suggestions. I will reply to all of these after I have discussed it with our group members. Until then, please share everything you all think we should know!! Regards, Dominic
  6. Hello dear brothers and sisters, Good morning! One of the main benefits of being part of international brotherhood is that we have our brothers and sisters all over the globe and are always there to help with suggestions when a brother visits a foreign country. JWTalk nicely represents this brotherhood and gives one an opportunity to tap into the insights, suggestions, and direction from this multitude of counselors. I have started this thread to seek such suggestions from our dear brothers and sisters in Australia and all those who have traveled to the land down under. So, here is some background: 2 families from our congregation (including me and my wife) will be visiting the International Convention in Melbourne, Australia in Nov, 2019. We are very thrilled to experience first-hand all the wonderful things and stories we have heard over the years in our literature about these international conventions and also looking forward to meet our wonderful brothers and sisters from this beautiful land and make long-lasting friendships With the year moving very swiftly, we have now started planning the finer details of the trip and would like views and suggestions from brothers and sisters on the following questions: Which are the things one must definitely do in Melbourne as a tourist which is peculiar to the place Any suggestions on how to get the best deals on food in Melbourne? Perhaps a local app that locals use to get the best food at the most economical prices, and so on? Which are the things one must definitely do in Hobart, Tasmania as a tourist which is peculiar to the place Any suggestions on how to get the best deals on food in Hobart, Tasmania? Perhaps a local app that locals use to get the best food at the most economical prices, and so on? Which are the things one must definitely do in Labrador, Gold Coast as a tourist which is peculiar to the place Any suggestions on how to get the best deals on food in Labrador, Gold Coast? Perhaps a local app that locals use to get the best food at the most economical prices, and so on? Any other suggestions that will help us travel and visit these places on a tight budget? Any suggestions on the best mode of transport, which will be light on the pockets too, in these places? We plan to stay in Australia for 3 weeks, out of which the first week will be for the convention and intend to visit these places in the 2 weeks after. We are complete beginners to everything related to visiting Australia and hence any tips, suggestions you feel we should know, feel free to share it with us. Thank you dear brothers and sisters. With lots of warm Christian love, Regards, Dominic
  7. Hello dear brothers and sisters, My wife and I plan to gift something memorable to all the newly baptized and regular pioneers in our congregation. There are around 20 of them and hence we are looking out for suggestions which will not be heavy on our pockets and at the same time will let us know how deeply we appreciate what they are doing. Yes, I will be writing a personal note to all of them. Any suggestions of top of this?
  8. The following illustration can be used to explain to those who say that all religions are pleasing to God. Cats usually are loving pets and in their pursuit to please their owners or masters, they sometimes kill a rat or two and then present the kill in front of them to offer as a "sacrifice". What's the reaction of the owner? They usually find it disgusting and shooo the cat and it's "sacrifice" away. Similarly, all the sacrifices that other religions think they are offering to God, he finds disgusting.
  9. Wonderful brother, Niel. We all have to really use all our strength to encourage our dear brothers and sisters cross over that finish line. Encouragement and appreciation are most needed in these last days. Let's all pray for that special peace that only Jehovah can give us. We are almost there!
  10. Hi sister Sandy, I do build websites for friends and family using HTML5 and CSS3. However, I have built only one website using wordpress so far, which is hosted on a private intranet, which means I would not be able to share it with anyone. I can easily build any sort of website you want in less than 5 days, and work with the budget that you have. Please let me know how we can take this discussion forward.
  11. Hi dear brothers and sisters, I have been thinking of working on creating a small model of Solomon's temple and use it for educational discussions with the young ones in my congregation. I had been putting working on this for sometime now, but thought I should be taking this seriously now. Do you all have any suggestions on how I should be proceeding here? Are there any DIY models available out there which you have tried implementing? I am also interested to hear from any of my fellow brothers and sisters who have actually done this? Have a great day, everyone. Your fellow servant in the Lord, Dominic
