  1. Update 5: The situation in Kyiv remained quiet and stable last week. Our meetings were held as usual without a hitch. Most brothers and sisters left Kyiv and moved to western Ukraine and Poland (sisters and children). Our dear brothers have shown heartfelt hospitality to all who have moved there, providing their homes and apartments. I liked a funny story (not sure it's a true story) which someone sent to our congregation group:
  2. Not sure that's possible now for most men. There are some exceptions. You can read them here.
  3. Sister Elizabeth, I don't know about this experience. I hope it happened. I can say that some brothers and sisters from my congregation have decided to leave Kyiv and they're now at west part of Ukraine.
  4. Not sure that's true. I haven't heard any news about it from the responsible brothers that it happened all over the country.
  5. I can confirm that we haven't received certain directions from the local branch on what we need to do as a congregation in these circumstances. From local brothers, we have a reminder:
  6. Update 4: The situation was quiet and stable in my area during these days. Responsible brothers decided to reschedule our Christian meetings to daylight due to the observance of blackouts. One brother from Germany decided to organize a friendly meeting via Zoom, which helped comfort brothers and sisters from Ukraine (All day online from Saturday until today. It's already finished). There were about 600-1000 (I think maximum for Zoom) attendees from different parts of the world all the time when I joined it. I've heard a lot of interesting and encouraging cases of how Jehovah helped our dear brothers and sisters in their circumstances.
  7. Update 3: The morning was not so quiet in my area compared to the previous ones. However, we had the weekend meeting today, which has helped my congregation receive spiritual refreshing. It was unusual to see brothers and sisters in casual clothes (ready to go to a shelter) and in their bathrooms (a pretty safe place in an apartment) at the meeting. We're keeping a positive mood, received many encouraging messages and videos from different parts of the world. I liked the thought from today's talk: "The darker the night, the closer we are to dawn." We hope these events will finish soon. Thanks, Jehovah, and you for your love.
  8. A humble brother from my congregation sent a lovely message for locals into our Telegram’s congregation group. I’ve decided to translate it and share it in this forum. (I tried to be accurate in the translation as much as I could 🙂)
  9. Update 2: Today is more or less quiet in Kyiv (morning and midday). From time to time, we heard explosions in my neighborhood. We had FGS in the morning. A lot of brothers and sisters joined the meeting. It was a great time to encourage each other. We prepared and sent an informal message to the interested person using Isa 30:15. Also, we discussed how important to be politically neutral as must as we can at this time. In this thread, someone mentioned this issue, and that's true it could happen unexpectedly. For instance, being in a shelter some patriot-mind people could start singing the national hymn. The good q/a: how would I behave myself in this situation? Thanks, Jehova, and you, our dear brothers and sister, for your prayers.
  10. Update: the midweek meeting has finished without interruptions yesterday. All brothers and sister were happy to meet together at this difficult time via Zoom. Today we're trying to avoid any dangerous situations (e.g. be at the streets) and hiding at homes and shelters. What a wise advice from FDS of preparing emergency backpack! Thanks Jehova for your support at the exact time.
  11. Thanks for your support and prays brothers and sisters. All quiet in Kyiv right now, but very nervous. We have a midweek meeting today and all congregation is supporting each other via Zoom, SMS, messages etc.
  12. Coronavirus outbreak: Italian residents join together to sing from balconies during lockdown
  13. Steven, I'm with you on this one. It's pretty easy to implement. However, I guess, maybe there were some architecture issues or that feature is developing now. I suppose, the second one
  14. It's optional. For instance, Apple released apps with simple version numbers (macOS High Sierra version is 10.13.1). They are the good example to do the same.
