  1. Bro Carlos, can you fix my mistake?  I was trying to reply to Neil today...and hit something...and it put me in a different area where I couldn't reply.  I can't figure out how to get back.  Can you Help?

      Hi Brenda.

I am not understanding what happened.

Could you please take a picture of your screen and post it here or send it to carlos@jwtalk.net?

Carlos, it seems to have cleared.  I don't know what I did.  But it's perfect again.  LOL  Thank you if you fixed it.  🙂

Glad that everything is working, Brenda. :)

  2. Thanks Peter and Greg... Thanks for replying and wanting to help...much appreciated for all that you do.
  3. Thank you Bro Tracey...this is perfect (love the extra bonus). My congregation is in need of some good 'slapstick' humor...I'm sure they will enjoy this. Thank you again for taking time to find this. I need to start making notes.
  4. Bro Greg...is the is video that was on one of the threads here? I would love to have it by 7:30 this evening. 5:40 now. Is it in one of the threads? Are you the one to entered it here? I could search that way. LOL I'm trying everything I can. Thanks if you can help...if not, thanks anyway.
  5. Do you remember this...about 3 weeks ago? I promised to share this at my Social Gathering on Zoom this evening...now I can't find it. I would really like to share this...I know the brothers and sisters would Love this. Thanks if you can remember where it's at.
  6. Br Carlos, I was feeling bad for you taking your time to help me...and it ended up not being the TouchPad after all. But then I realized, your helpful suggestions you provided did help me out a lot. After reading what you wrote...and playing around a bit with my mouse and TouchPad...I realized it was my Mouse. The left button is not working...so the only way I could move was to use my TouchPad. It was working okay. So I had to move the Mouse with my right hand and then use the TouchPad to Click. I'm not coordinated that well anymore. LOL So I just went to Amaz...and ordered a new mouse for $6...so should have in 4 days. So thank you very much for your help...I wouldn't have thought of this without your help. I'm sure this will take care of my problem.
  7. Carlos, I just saw this reply. I tried the suggestions from the link you provided...they didn't work...unless I was doing something wrong. My Toshiba model is Satellite A305-S6837...an oldie. I really appreciate your help...this is driving me crazy...LOL
  8. Br John, I agree with what you said...it seems logical. But for some reason it's not working on my system...or I am just missing something. I will keep asking locally ... there is one brother who is into computers I will have to ask him. I hate to bother ones at the Hall, they have young children and families. But I will have to ask him. But thanks for taking the time to reply...much appreciated.
  9. Vonny...I'm so happy your issue is fixed. I know how frustrating it can be. But I'm glad things are back to where you can use you keyboard as normal. I tried what you said to my laptop...it didn't work with my system. I can't imagine what I did...I didn't notice anything. I think your Win 10 seems easier to fix than my Win 7. But I will keep trying...I don't give up easily. LOL
  10. I should have mentioned...his is Windows 7 on a Toshiba laptop. I didn't purposely change anything to use the TouchPad...I must have hit something by mistake. That's why I thought it might be a keyboard command or a Fn + F#. I can't see the little icons well enough to decipher what they mean. Does this make any sense?
  11. I can't remember. I must have done it my mistake. I've googled several ways trying to find out...but to no avail. I thought it was a keyboard command...but can't seem to find it. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
  12. My computer has been fixed. Thanks to the ones who responded. I appreciate the brotherhood and the willing spirit to help those of us in need. My old computer is working fine now. Thanks brothers again...you know who you are.
  13. Does anyone know how to tune up my laptop...connecting remotely? Do you do this professionally or as a side business? I need help but don't know anyone locally who does this kind of work. I'm willing to pay for help...I just can't do this anymore with my present condition. Please send me a PM and I can give you more details. Thanks very much.
  14. I need help trying to purchase the correct headphones for listening to the convention. Do I just tune in to the radio frequency and have headphones on? I seem to be missing the process. I looked on Amazon and see some nice units...and I try to read all the specifications...but it becomes Greek to me real quick. My late husband would have spent hours checking everything out and make a good decision...I don't seem to be able to do that. LOL Does anyone have something they use and like? What exactly do I need? How do I get the radio station? I hate to sound dense...but I've had 4 mini-strokes...and I know I'm lacking. I love technology and used to understand things...but not much anymore. Also, since my hearing is bad...I would like to wear headphones at home when I listen to JWB from my Laptop. I would like to be able to move around my apartment while in kitchen or doing laundry...and listening without a cord. I have to sit right in from on my laptop...can't move even a couple feet. My laptop is not very loud and my hearing is about 35 percent in one ear...none in the other. If you have a suggestion, I'd love to hear it. My convention starts June 28th so I would love to have something that works by then. My hearing is bad and had to ask my Group Overseer last year to get the replay copy because I missed several spots where the voices weren't clear for me. And the video presentations where there were ones from different countries seemed mufflied so I missed some. Thanks a lot for any help you can provide. I would really appreciate it.
