The amount of children living in conflict zones has rocketed since the early 90s—here's why. excerpt below This is an increase of over 75 per cent since the early 90s. More than half (165 million) of these children are living in places with high-intensity conflicts. What are the reasons behind this increase? "Part of the reason is that we are seeing more conflicts today—more conflicts that are going on for longer," Caroline Anning, a Senior Conflict & Humanitarian Advocacy Adviser at Save the Children told Euronews. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory/air-force-secretary-supports-draft-registration-women-39595766 (there could be ads, depending on browser, sorry) They are saying that a new policy going before the Senate includes a mandate that, IF passed, would require women from 18-25/26 to sign up for conscription like men do, starting in January 2018. I don't think this will pass, but it worries me as a few of my friends are in that age bracket now and if it does pass, more will be 18 by the time it does pass... I'm praying this gets thrown out... -
Hi there, I'm trying to organize a song for the children in my congregation for our foreign delegates coming to our assembly this summer. I would like the children to learn the first/last line from the song MEMORIZING the books of the bible in CROATIAN (one of the languages of our guests). I downloaded the song in Croatian Croatian http://tv.jw.org/#hr/video/VODChildren/pub-pkon_3_VIDEO But need someone to write the words for the last line out pheonetically. The last line in English is "THE BIBLE IS THE GREATEST BOOK OF ALL" and I can't tell how to pronounce the words in Croatian. Is there anybody here that speaks Croatian or can ask one of the croatian speaking friends that can write out this line for me? Thanks in advance!! Rosie -
