What a nice article! Thanks for sharing Maureen! I love how every article highlights the same things no matter where in the world we are - just goes to show how united in thought and action we are!

Maureen,

Thanks for sharing the article. It is a good account of the convention. I do have a question for you though.

Since you are in Istanbul how did you learn of this article ? Because the convention was held in Massachussettes ?

Did any local news reporting agency feature the report on this convention, or did you learn about it from

some other source ?

Michael, has it sunk in yet that we are all connected as a worldwide organization? (haha - I know you know that).  Just makes you a firm believer that this is the one true religion who worships the one true God, doesn't it?

Don't live for the moment - live for the future! :D

We were all connected, today, it was my last day of the Washington D.C.,/Lansdown, MD International Convention.  We had 14 Regional conventions hooked up! Br. Morris of the Governing Body was there all 3 days, we had at the stadium 60,427 in attendance plus 110,000 plus connected all together (with us).  What a testimony to the Anglo/American World Power, right there in it's back yard.   It was like being in the paradise, the friends from Brazil, Portugal, and Great Britain, and a few from Scotland were there.  I never cried so much in my life (tears of JOY), hugging these dear friends from around the globe!  A grand witness was given to the people in the area, and the police were really appreciative!  Few of them were there, and they were a big help with the traffic, getting us out and into the stadium parking.  It was so well organized!    We are all (who are Jehovah's true witnesses) subjects of the only government to take over and rule this planet!   May Jehovah bless all us this month and future months who are Aux. Pioneering, Regular, Special Pioneers and those who are doing what they can according to their circumstances!   Wow, what a convention!  Our God is the only TRUE God, his name is Jehovah, and his appointed King of the Kingdom, Jesus Christ, to rule and remove once and for all, remove the bad governments worldwide, and abyssing the greatest terrorist this world has ever had - Satan!

TIm, did you enjoy that?  I loved the public talk.  That was so stirring.  I could hear the friends and other people cheering!  I was in the handicap tents and in firmed area, tent 2.  Tent 1 was really full.  Friday, I was in the Red Club Section A, only because there was no more room in either tents.  So the brothers sent me and my car group with wheelchair up to 3rd tier.  What a BLESSING from JEHOVAH!!!   I just wanted to hug all the delegates, but there were so many of them.  We had a group from Portugal come into our tent and sing one of the kingdom songs for us today.  I just balled and balled, from sheer happiness and joy!    I did manage to step in the open arena for 5 minutes.  A sister held on to me, so I could take pictures.     Its just a WOW and can't wait to be in one in the paradise!  Did you hear or see the helicopter after lunch?  Someone said it was the President checking out what we were all about.  I don't think it was him, but it sounded like there was something big hovering over top of the stadium!  Maybe you could see it and know what it really was!   A sea of humanity!  A united bond of humanity!   Lovers of Jehovah our God, and his appointed King Christ Jesus!

You guys make me want to relive my IC all over again! You know, if somehow this is our last huge convention where we gather in the thousands together, the organization managed to make sure it would be forever unforgettable! I can't see how any subsquent RC could possible top this one. I think a large part of that was having a GB member there and a GB helper at each one. Jehovah made this year's global gathering one of the most special ever in modern day history! I've often thought that I would just love to live to the day religion goes down for good but attending this IC has made me think differently - I'm glad I've gotten as far as I have and after experiencing all the many wonderful spiritual blessings and our worldwide brotherhood at this IC, I am overjoyed to of had experienced it first hand, even if I get to see nothing else in this system.

Don't live for the moment - live for the future! :D
