Anything that is not based on a news item; as we know news reports are biased and cannot be trusted so any thread based on them will be locked by the moderators.

We could talk about fluffy kittens, that would be acceptable I think.

I think it can be disrespectful, but, then, other days you are just very tired, and when someone says something to you, 'whatever' tends to be the universal retort.  ;-)

I'm from a different generation, so I never use it (because I hate it so much).  My retort would be "o.k" probably just to get the person to stop talking.

I could be wrong, but I think the stats for posts in a day are for the last 24 hours (counting back from the moment you click on the stats). Thirty-three posts for shali in the last 24 hours sounds about right.
