Church of England row as cathedral opens doors to tarot card readers and crystal healers in 'new age' festival

The Church of England was braced for a fresh row today after a cathedral announced plans to host a 'new age' festival.

The event - featuring tarot card readers, crystal healers, dream interpretation, and a fire-breathing vicar - is to be held in Manchester Cathedral in May.

But the move is certain to anger traditionalists, who feel the Church has already strayed too far from tradition.

Hundreds have already defected to the Roman Catholic Church after deep splits over the ordination of gay and women priests.

Anglican leaders in Manchester decided to hold the festival in the historic cathedral in a bid to embrace alternative forms of Christianity.

Fortune tellers, meditation experts and traditional healers will fill the pews during the day-long festival. The Bishop of Manchester, Rt Rev Nigel McCulloch, said he wanted to celebrate 'all forms of spirituality'.

The Church is in trouble. Attendances have fallen for the sixth year in a row, according to official figures that also showed it holding fewer marriages, baptisms and funerals.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, the Vatican boasted that 900 disaffected Anglicans have left their parishes to become Roman Catholics. Many are believed to have felt alienated by the Church's 1992 decision to allow women to be ordained as priests....

The Rt Rev Nigel McCulloch wants to embrace other forms of Christianity but I don't understand when Tarrot cards and crystals became connected with the church? The church has declining numbers because it's lost it's traditional values (and people wanting that have converted to Catholicism) and it's not attracting anyone else either.

This is to show that Christendom has failed woefully, it does not have any fresh water to give it's members (healthful teaching), the prophecy @ Rev. 8:10,11 continue to have it's fulfilment - instead of offering fresh water of truth, they served up "worm-wood," bitter lies this has resulted in Spiritual poisoning of their members. (Rev. Climax-chpt 21 par. 28-34 shed more light on this)

This just reminds me of how Cyrus dried up the waters before Babylon fell for the last time! - Is 44:27 & 28

Prophesy unfolds! Truly incredible Thank you for sharing!

During the recent elections in Uganda, the president had a conference in the biggest stadium in the country with witchdoctors, and they assured him he would win the elections after granting him lots of blessings!

So did the "Christian" church and so did the muslims!!

And he won!!

Wow! :hammer: What these Churches are doing are almost unbelievable! Talk about directly going against the Will of Jehovah. :X It's too bad people like to find a 'religion' that suits THEM and makes THEM feel comfortable. Too bad too bad, this world is so selfish and self centered with an over abundance of greed. This reminds me clearly of Revelation 18:9,10 "Too bad, too bad, you great city, Babylon you strong city, because in one hour your judgement has arrived!'"

Friends, keep your heads up above the water! >:D<

The Spiritual Head of the Church of England Archbishop of Canterbury, who recently married Prince William and Kate Middleton, was inducted as an Honorary Druid in Wales. He claimed it was just a cultural ceremony - nothing pagan about it. However, chapters of Druids/Celtic Shaamans, called Gorsedds elsewhere in Britain say otherwise. If he is a White Druid of the Welsh Gorsedd, then it is just upperclass paganism as far as they are concerned. Many African Anglican Bishops were left dismayed. they had spent many years persuading their parishoners to drop their following of witchdoctors or Shaamans, only to see their Spiritual leader inducting himself among the ancient Celtic Shaamans of Britain.

The other odd thing about this event is that Druids tell me they are Unitarian, even those who combine their paganism with a form of Christianity like those in the ceremony in Wales. They pray to a single god of nature at the cememony to bless a newly appointed Druid and argue against Trinity, which the Anglicans/Episcopalians reckon they do believe in.:S
