We're paying 2.11 per litre in NZ which works out to nearly $8 per gallon. Ok the NZ dollar is not as strong as the US dollar.

US dollar is currently buying NZD$1.25 so the gas price works out to US$1.67 per litre which in turn works out to $6.32 /galllon.

Sounds like we're being ripped off in NZ.

That sounds about right. Here they call it "globalisation".

Note: above prices relate to unleaded 91... premium 98 costs about 2.30 odd per litre.

Yeah the gas price as of late is one of the reasons I went to VA a couple of weeks ago. Last year it was much higher, but I had to go despite gas prices. I am loving these prices.

Me too we have stations that are under $1.10 a liter now. But it is hurting our economy right now. We will see.

Lower gas prices are hurting the Canadian economy?

Our Dollar is tied into the barrel of oil prices on the market so its causing the dollor value to drop as well.

Interesting, the US dollar does the exact opposite - it gets stronger when oil goes down - as it buys more. And this explains why the US wants the US$ to stay the oil reserve currency.

Lower gas price hurts who? Those that have made billions from pushing the world into a prolonged recession.

In Canada they use any excuse to justify us paying higher prices for fuel than the US - when we sell fuel to US at greatly reduced prices - cheaper than US can produce it themselves.

How many businesses have gone under due to inflated oil prices.

Just another example of greed of a few destroying the lives many.

I can remember gas being .23 cents a gallon! I will seriously read these comments, later, but my first thought, will we relax, and think the system is not actually on its last gasp of life?

I want to age without sharp corners, and have an obedient heart!

Oh wow, I appreciate your insight into the situation Bea, exactly, just yesterday while in service it was mentioned about how now is the time for many to go on vacations and enjoy the low prices...but, this is spoken of in the scriptures as part of the last days, people will be continuing on as if normal and the day will come as a surprise. The greed of this system is so out of control, they cry that they are losing money when what they mean is that they are not making the same trillions of dollars that they were making when they were able to inflate the prices as they did last quarter so they aren't able to buy another yacht. Unbalanced to say the least.

So I understand your comment - your saying a balanced person would not go on vacation while gas prices are lower?

No please don't get excited, I didn't mean that you I thought others shouldn't take a vacation...lol. No, just not time to relax like was pointed out. Yes, balance is always the best idea. While on vacation many spend time in the ministry which would be advantageous! Some can't take a vacation with high prices on fuel so this might be the only chance for us to visit Society like the GB mentioned in the branch meeting. Much love with no judging to the spiritual family.

Here in Britain we're paying equiv $1.87 ltr for unleaded petrol & $1.94 equiv for diesel at ASDA(Walmart) & we think that's fairly good to what we've been paying until now, aside that for every litre $0.94 equiv is made up of fuel tax plus 20% vat,Britain has the highest fuel prices in Europe, crude oil is at an all time low &opec seems to think that the oil producing saudi contries aren't looking to reduce production yet

Wow, $1.87 ltr = $7.08 a gallon. There must be an exchange rate difference because that seems awfully high. We are paying currently $2.78 a gallon.

Beleive me no mistake we're paying £1.20 ltr unleaded/£1.24 ltr diesel., a few months ago we were paying 10p litr more (prices in GBP)  & 4.55 litres in a gallon, £5.46 =,$8.54 gallon.

calculated roughly with the exchange rate from reuters.com (1 gbp£ =1.56 us$ )

1 U.S. gal = 3.78 L ( yup that's correct to 2 decimal points )  U.S ounce is 29.57 ml

1 Imp. gal ( UK & Canada ) = 4.54 L ( rounded to 2 decimal places ) Imp oz is 28.41 ml

Average gas price for today in our area is C$1.06 per L - some on Indian reserve is 90 cents Litre Canadian

In Port Huron, Michigan price ranges from US$2.69 at Sam's Club to US$2.88 at one SpeedyQ.

Petrol and diesel prices are absolutely rubbish here in the UK. Has been for years. I would love it at the US prices or Australia prices but that is just wishfull thinking. We pay loads of Tax to our government through our petrol and diesel prices. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/road-and-rail-transport/10668970/British-fuel-tax-highest-in-Europe.html

Guess it depends on what your used to. We are used to getting rinsed at the pump here in the UK. The US government is kinder to the motorist over there it seems.
