Tailored Therapy and Seminar

Recommended Posts

Was sent to me by the sister ( Christine.M.Pedraza@gunet.georgetown.edu) who is the head of the department listed below.  If any here can attend that's great.  Some can't due to other issues, and some do not live in the general area or the state itself.  Nice to check it out if anyone wants to.

Good Afternoon,

Please find attached the latest issue of the MGUH bloodless program newsletter The FOCUS.  In this issue, the bloodless program’s co-medical director, Dr. Jamie Koprivnikar (featured in the Spring 2013 issue of The FOCUS) contributed the article “Tailored Therapy for Treating Bone Marrow Disorders in Jehovah’s Witness Patients”.  In this article, Dr. Koprivnikar shares the illness, treatment, and outcome of four Witness patients who were treated at MGUH for bone marrow disorders.

We would also like to remind you to register to attend our bloodless health education seminar on November 15, if you have not done so already.  Note that for the first time, we are pleased to offer the full program in ASL for the benefit of those who are deaf. Attached to this email is an additional flyer announcing all the details of the event.  Please feel free to forward it on to friends and family and encourage them to benefit from this learning opportunity!

To reserve your seat, please call 202.444.1797 or send an email to christine.m.pedraza@gunet.georgetown.edu. When registering, please provide the following per household/group attending:

·   Number of attendees

·   Name of each attendee

·   Address

·   Phone number

·   Email address

It is a privilege to serve the special needs of our community through this program.  Thank you in advance for your interest and support which makes the program a success.  We look forward to seeing you on November 15!

Fondly,

The Bloodless Medicine & Surgery Team

About JWTalk.net - Jehovah's Witnesses Online Community

Since 2006, JWTalk has proved to be a well-moderated online community for real Jehovah's Witnesses on the web. However, our community is not an official website of Jehovah's Witnesses. It is not endorsed, sponsored, or maintained by any legal entity used by Jehovah's Witnesses. We are a pro-JW community maintained by brothers and sisters around the world. We expect all community members to be active publishers in their congregations, therefore, please do not apply for membership if you are not currently one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
