Blood issue and Eritrea on Casualty in the UK

Recommended Posts

Casualty is the longest standing medical drama in the UK. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualty_(TV_series)

I must admit I hardly ever watch it but I just happened to notice there was a case of a Jehovah's Witness Woman who was refusing "life saving" blood treatment. She was found out to be a refugee from Eritrea and they acknowledged the terrible situation over there to some degree.

A doctor was trying to force her to have blood but eventually she managed to get the operation without blood by a doctor who was prepared to carry out the operation without it. She survived and it was suggested that because of the situation over in Eritrea that she would be able to get a lawyer who would help her claim asylum.

Overall of what I saw of the episode it was quite positive although quite dramatised. Interesting that these two subjects were brought to the fore in a positive way. Usually this isn't the case. Just thought I would share although I apologise for all those who can't watch it in different countries due to it being a bbc programme.

Micah 4:5 ......"we, for our part, shall walk in the name of Jehovah our God to time indefinite, even forever."

John 15:13 "No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his life in behalf of his friends."

So many of us are praying fervently for our brothers in Eritrea, this may be one way Jehovah is using to get the word out. It's such a small country, most people don't even know it exists (I wouldn't of known if I weren't part of this organization) let alone that they have one of the worst human rulers known to history (Reader's Digest did an article several years back on the 9 most despot, terrible rulers in the world and Eritrea's was in the top 3).

Don't live for the moment - live for the future! :D

Interesting is: We had an report on Germans Top TV-Channel (ARD) withe the title "Bad blood"

The mean point is: Blood doesnt' save live! It causes Infections, Heartproblems until dead, the mortality rate multiplicate increases, even after year it can cause cancer. Then they say "We we didn't know about this".

As a witness we know this, but this report was really shocking all the things we say since years, these mds discovered just right now (hah).

They setup a hotline in this hopital were the mds coming from who dicovers these "news", because of people who are frightened (about the therapy with blood)
