Went witnessing on Saturday ...

Recommended Posts

Instead of beware of dog signs we saw this:

A sign saying that All guns were welcome. Next few houses down ... "Due to the price of ammunition there will be no warning shots"

Do you get these sign out witnessing? First time I've seen them here.

(Meant to be a joke but it's also a high crime area - so it could be a double meaning too).

*shakes her head.

Lol, I see them all the time in Texas.  A few we see down here are

Trespasser will be shot, survivors shot again.

We shoot first then call 911.

No Trespassing we have guns and shovels

I would like to think this is a joke in my area, but Texans love their guns and they are firm believers in the Second Amendment of the US Constitution, and in Texas you can legally shoot someone on your property if you reasonably believe that your property can't be protected or you will be harmed.

So yes, we take gun signs seriously down here.

While the sign might be worded in a joking manner, speak with your Service Overseer for advice on how to approach them.

My territory covers several counties, with neighborhoods at the extreme opposite ends of the political spectrum. When we see these signs in the so-called "liberal" area, we treat them as jokes unless there's a serious sign nearby. When we see these signs in the so-called "conservative" area, we leave the neighborhood immediately before someone comes out and fires off a "warning shot". (Even neighbors will sometimes fire at our car when we're in the home of an established return visit or Bible Study.)

We have seen some here that say "You are within range" or "if you want to meet your make faster, trespass on this property." There are a lot of hunters here in Ky and thus gun owners. Many people use them as a way of scaring poachers or thieves off. We have even seen beware of dog signs picturing huge ferocious dogs on them so we know to show caution in such areas. ^_^

I live in a temporary reality- awaiting the day I wake up to life in the real world!

"Pray if you want to talk to Jesus.

Knock if you want to meet him now."

  also saw,

"the way i see things": (pic shows the view through a gun sight)

people are so angry. it's saddening   :crying:

At that time those who fear Jehovah spoke with one another, each one with his companion,

and Jehovah kept paying attention and listening..." ~ Malachi 3:16

We had a rifle pointed at us on the reservation, definitely in his sights, also another time a man pulled up in a jeep with a rifle asking why we were talking to his wife. And an ex-convict with a rifle behind the door threatening to shoot us then and there, it was only after explaining that his mom (our Sister) asked us to please visit him. Oh...never saw a sign any where...just the wrong side of the barrel!!!  :boxing:
