Cold Shoulder

There is this kickstarter campaign called the Cold Shoulder, that has been designed by NASA Scientist to find a way to lose calories. It keeps you cold, apparently coldness can burn alot more calories than physical fitness. 

 

I was thinking, gee, wearing one of these on the ministry might keep me cool under that hot blazing sun AND lose calories at the same time!

Makes sense, in Alaska the native people have eaten blubber to maintain weight. Interesting.

Now that is interesting! I hate being hot. At work or while exercising so this would really be up my alley. Wonder if it would help my shoulder / neck pain while its at it. I'm seriously interestsed in this concept.

I work overnight in an office that houses the company's mainframe and servers. It is kept at a constant cold temperature. It becomes very uncomfortable in there especially as I get more tired toward morning. People walking by my door laugh at me wearing my coat in the summer. If you haven't experienced it, you don't know what it is like......

I went to the site and although I did find it a little interesting, the price was outrageous! $159.99!!!

I'm thinking we could design / adapt our own vest and use ice packs in shoulder area pockets. I'd never pay $159.99 for it.

Sounds interesting...but looks like a thinly disguised bullet-proof vest!!!!

I just found out- for it to be effective and for you to lose calories, you have to be at a comfortable environment, normal temperature. However, it can still keep you nice and cold under the sun while door-to-door.
