Little Couple

Hi Heather,

I only know this couple because of the magazines on the shelves at the grocery store and I found myself wondering if they ever wish to be "taller" and if so, how would they react to the good news? Of course it should be approached in a tactful way but it would be interesting to me to know what they think...

If would.. I'm doubting they care much about their height as much as about their health.

I've thought about the height thing myself... I sometimes look at my husband and I (both with in dwarf height) and wonder if in the new system we will be any taller. But, quite honestly I'm fine with my height, it really seems other people notice it more then I do. I rarely think about my height til others bring it up.. or in the store, and I am climbing shelves to get things down! lol But, really normally not something I care about. I'm more into being healthy in the new system then taller. I have only started thinking about the taller thing the last year or two, cause so many people seem to bring up our height. (I'm 4' 8, and my husband is about 4'11). We are not as small as the little couple, but still quite a bit smaller then most people-and with in dwarf heights.

I am just a bit taller but still think I am short ... but now you put things in perspective for me!

You are completely right when it comes to health being more important!

I can't even imagine really being taller is the funny part. I would probably be fine with it though if Jehovah sees that that is something to fix. But, yup health is most important. Being a dwarf often comes with many health problems though, that are not even just about their size. They have joint, bone, trachea etc malformations. I'm sure they would much rather not have those pains any longer. And in some cases of some dwarfs even life threatening complications. (some have to have stents and such to relieve fluid from their heads, and such.)
