Just saw it. Wonderful reminders! :thumbsup:

I really loved when a brother said: "There is no question about the Kingdom being in control!".

Or when a sister said: "This is the reality: God`s Kingdom! Everything else is an illusion!"

Indeed:

THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR DEAR OLDER ONES

YOU ARE OUR LIVING LEGACY

:ecstatic::backflip:

“The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance, the wise grows it under his feet.”

Fascinating stuff ! ....These American old bro's & Sis' are real characters whom you would like to know......

 The song to start the vid was surely "The Battle Hymn of The Republic" ......"Glory Glory Hallelujah.....The King is marching on"  . At least the tune and the chorus are the same but I think that the other words had been changed to a "Kingdom theme" . I guess that is what they mean when they say that the old songbooks contained ones that were rip-offs of church hymns.

Mind you, it is a great tune ! The Governing Body evidently don't mind featuring it . The song will be in my mind all day now

Yes, as mentioned, this video was originally shown at the 2014 annual meeting. I loved it then and love it now. The song

"The Gentile Times are Ending " was a very popular song among the brothers back then, and was a take off of the

popular "Battle Hymn of the Republic". Since it was a very popular tune coming out of the Civil War, no doubt the brothers

thought it all the more appropriate, since it mentions in the chorus "He  ( Christ,)  is trampling out the vintage before God's

Judgment seat. Our King is Marching on ! And particularly the line " Mine eyes have seen the Glory of the coming off the

Lord." How true that must have felt as they watched World War I rage, and all the beginning of the things fortold by Jesus

at Matthew 24. It is a great video.

Love that video too. Was glad to have been able to download it. Had to delete some things to create space on my tablet! I also like the marching tune.

As for your eyes, straight ahead they should look, yes, your own beaming eyes should gaze straight in front of you - Prov. 4:25

I'v actually been looking for the song  ever since I heard it in the video. The only version I have found is this one which is cool;

But for the life of me, I can't find anywhere online the version used in the 100 years and counting video!
