Self explanatory

Ohhh, so an ankle biter beat up your bitty kitty? Hmm, I'm sort of laughing at the mental image. Generally the other way around. Kitties have claws.

My kitty doesn't have front claws ( we got him that way 12 years ago ). My wife wanted to dogette sit for the elder/pioneer couple in our building. The 11 year old dogette is HYPER and wanted to chase Quiggley all over the apt, our cat wanted to snooze.

The dogette also would steal toys out of the cat's box, every time she came in. :pistols: and run out of the apt with toy hidden in her mouth.

Consciousness, that annoying time between naps!

So you bought a psychotic, kleptomaniac, stalker cat into your home to permanently traumatize your cat?  Good job! LOL

Stalker dogette. She only stayed for a couple of longggg hours. Although she had come up a few times when others were dogette sitting. She loved Quiggley's toys

We have some chihuahuas. When they were little they were "raised" with a cat we also had - she was an older kitten. The cat used to hide behind something, she like to hide by the TV stand, and wait for the dogs to walk by. She would then pounce on them.

This continued well into them becoming dogs and her a cat.

They finally tired of it and started chasing her .... she did not back away. She out weighed them.

Eventually, for other reasons, she had to become an "outside" cat and that took care of the situation.

Do you not understand that I've been trying to help people? And that it's something I consider to be important?

Here is how I put it at the beginning of the thread Jerry agreed with me starting about these issues (though spelling wasn't really a part of that):

My second point was about Jehovah appreciating it if we make the effort to 'get it right'...

The first evidence of this is the effort to which the brothers go to ensure our publications are correct in every way. That's a great example to us and it gives praise to Jehovah as non-Witnesses observe the correctness, sometimes complimenting it.

The second is the way in which this can flow into our speech as we go witnessing. If we expand our word and language knowledge we are less likely to make mistakes and therefore more capable of reaching the hearts of those who might be looking for chinks in our armour.

It's not all that long since you called a halt to all the attacks on me in another thread, why would you do this to me now?

Well, Steven, perhaps you can't see them because you're surrounded by all these mountains and hills?

But what I said is important, there's no place here for being offensive towards anyone and this thread is offensive to me.

Worse, it shows that the OP thinks that I'm picking on spelling errors.

Where better than the mountains to truly appreciate how amazing Jehovah's creation is.

And I agree with you. There is no place in Jehovah's organization for treating our Brothers in an unkind way.

So very true, Steven... I love the mountains...

And to have been to that peak was very special to me. Looking down and seeing as far as one could, despite the haze that prevented having the ultimate view I would have hoped for.

I will make a point of going there again next year when I return to your side of the Pacific. And I'm told that the drive down through Durango is something not to be missed as well, I guess you'd know if that was true or not? I've got that pencilled in too.

Can you spot exactly where you are in my photo, by the way?

I met a woman like that one day out in service...

She told me (and old Tony, who was with me) that she would pray for us. A couple of nights later Tony sidled up to me before the meeting and said, "Do you feel better now?"

But she didn't tell us not to call again, she's not on the 'Do not call' list, so we will ultimately do what Jehovah wants us to do and try to help her.

The difference is that people here should be more respectful of any efforts anyone makes to help them or others.

Dear Brother Ray, I think it just means you are a good speller or writer. I get similar jibes, and I have never corrected anyone. When I first moved here, one Sister said," well, we can always tell a school teacher because of the way you all talk." Ironically, this sister has beautifully researched comments, which sometimes go on at length. The brothers have told me privately, "sometimes I call your hand last because I know you do extra research." Also, the brother's have thanked me. privately, b/c when they are looking around, and there is no hand up, I will put mine up to get the replies started. I was told when coming in to the truth, "As long as you are able, do not leave a brother standing there without support. It's okay to be wrong." Recently, in a Memorial Q and A, I erroneously said the wine was unfermented, and I was quickly corrected by the brother, "I'm sure you meant uncontaminated." But at least it got the comments coming. Anyway, I think the cartoon was silly but not offensive.  It could be about me b/c I like to sleep with my little dog, who is part Chihuahua and part Jack Russell Terror (yes, terror, not terrier), but she looks like a Rat Terrier.  When I have a part, I sometimes use deliberate "grammar mistakes" because our formal written English is stilted compared to the spoken English. And a preposition is a word one should never end a sentence with. :uhhuh:
