Theocratic Acronyms

Recommended Posts

Many of the brothers love acronyms and you'll find them scattered in their talks. The FDS apparently loves acronyms too, such as MTS, MTV, BSCC, LDC, SKE, and so on.

Please share your favorite theocratic acronym.

Here is one that I think i first heard from an old CO Br Kite.

JOY.

To have joy you need to put things in this order

Jehovah

Others

Yourself.

Not mine: I first saw it many years ago on a Sisters site, it has a neat bit of poetry that goes with it.  I printed out a bunch of them in a bookmark type of format and handed them out at times.

When I moved to Iowa in 2010 I gave a bunch out there and I loved seeing the faces light up. We moved to California in 2012 but when we visited Iowa in 2014 there were a still a few people that remembered those little slips of paper and the message that it bore...

Linda and I have used this recently. Last night an elder wearily replied that he was 'here' and I told him what 'here' meant and that he was doing a good job being 'here', it made him smile...
