I've been wanting to see the Documentary "Knocking" by PBS but cannot find an link anywhere of the FULL thing.  Clips are posted here and there, but that's all.  Anyone know where I could watch it?

Thanks,
Vicky

I managed to get it a couple of years ago. Forget where I got it when downloaded it. Tried trial & error to find site but I thought it was PBS and I used a streaming downloader.

One of the producers - his mother is a witness, and if I remember correctly - he is gay.

That video on our brother who survived and became a Wwitness from the example of our brothers in the death camps, is he still alive? And are his son's still serving Jehovah and whatever became of his first marriage child and her children?  And what happened to Seth with the liver transplant and his dad?  Inquiring mind wants to know?  I was fascinated by the video, thanks for posting it.

Seth had his operation. However latest I heard is that it didn't last due to nature of his illness, although not sure of the validity of the source of that last bit.

Seth, the young brother in the video, has died.  His liver disease was too much for even the transplant.  :(  He left behind his wife and baby.  His sister married and I believe they're missionaries or serving where the need is greater.

Engardio did a series of follow ups on his video subjects.  It was all a very fine witness.

Thanks again for all the links.  Now if only we could get people to watch them.  Maybe they wouldn't be so judgmental with us.  Oh well.  I don't care what they think of me, I only care how Jehovah feels about me.

In Canada St.Michael's in Toronto implemented a formal Patient Blood Management Program in late 2012. They have been part of Ontario's OnTraC since 2002.

They couldn't figure out why they were having problems lowering their transfusion rate as much as they wished, like other centres ( English spelling ) had.

They investigated and started using Tranexamic Acid ( TXA ) in all their surgeries. It helped a lot.

The funny part is that in early-mid 1970's, St. Mike's successfully operated on several witnesses without blood and stated that witnesses fared just as well as those patients given blood. This was for open heart surgery ( CABG ) which was still fairly new back then.

I just finished watching the doc for the first time now.  I was moved to tears many times.  And also so proud of our brother and sisters in the camps.  Imagine giving the option to anyone to then and since to sign away their faith or to face a horrid death.  Think about it.  Not many wouldn't sign.  They worried about hurting Jehovah.  And in doing so showed just how strong our Faith in our Truthful religion is.  Not many have had that opportunity, they've done us proud.

On another note, is the whole show there?  It seemed that it ended rather abruptly.  We didn't even get to see Seth awaken from his surgery.  Now I'm going to reread the thread, things will make more sense now lol.
