Drought Causing Huge Fires

In the Pacific NW we are in a terrible drought. In Wenatchee, Washington there is an uncontrolled blaze, already burning 24 homes with possibly many more to go. Last year they had a bad one there but this year is so much drier. 

 

Not just there but in all of the North West. I'm on the ocean and its so dry sand is blowing all over. The wind they're having in Wenatchee has also been here, lots of wind. We are having a light mist this morning but nothing that'll make any difference. It's forecast to go away today and resume the hot weather.  

Many of us have told tales of the climate changes in their area's and how it's beyond imagining, beyond anything normal. Crazy.

Wow! Everything seems to be upside down! I'm sure the wildlife in areas such as where you live are adversly affected too...probably seeking other areas to live in..maybe Canada? How about western Canada..is there drought there too?

Drought in Western Canada - yup - fires a burning - yet in Eastern Canada we have lots of rain so ground is saturated - some areas around London are drenched while London itself is not quite - although June has had double amount of rain as normal. Good hot weather this coming weekend should make for bumper crops such as strawberries. :eat: :eat:

Six fire trucks plus a supervisor just went by and stopped next door - again. Capital Hill  apt call -again. It is Not a place you want to live. (td)

Police and fire trucks are there a lot.

While we were out in California last Feb/March 2015 - there was a murder there.
