I guess this is another reason for home schooling!  I don't believe I ever had a teacher in all my years of school look quite like that!

I can't get the download link to work for me so I dunno what I'm missing but it must be a đoozy....?.

All I've really got to say is that I wish I could fly....I THINK that would be great.

Here is the quoted newspaper article.  All you are missing is her mug shot---what a doozy!

There are innumerable ways to screw up your first day of work, but some of them have a little more panache than others. A new teacher in Wagoner, Okla. was arrested on her first day after showing up at the school both drunk and without pants.

School officials called Wagoner police around 9 a.m. on Monday morning to report that Lorie Ann Hill, 49, seemed out of sorts and also was missing the lower half of her clothing. Police arrived to find her in an empty classroom, and determined, presumably without too much trouble, that she was under the influence of alcohol.

"She was found in a room kind of disoriented," Police Chief Bob Haley told the Tulsa World. "By the time we got there she was in a room and wearing shorts."

Hill admitted to police she'd been drinking, and a search of her car turned up an empty cup that reportedly smelled of vodka. Haley said, though, that there wasn't enough evidence to prove she drove to the school drunk, and no "credible witnesses" at her home, whatever that might mean. She was spared a DUI charge, and booked into Wagoner City Jail only on suspicion of public intoxication.

Classes don't start until Thursday. Neither Hill nor her pants are likely to attend.

If they give her another chance, she might not slack off this time.

Ohhh sister!  You are right in my wheelhouse!  We could have such inside jokes to share with each other.  Can't wait to meet you!

PS--It was during Jay Leno's prologue one time he was talking about all the teachers that were sexually abusing their students.  That was at the time of a political campaign and the  motto (was it Hillary's??)--"Leave no child behind".  The headlines were about a teacher who crossed the Mexican border with her grade school student in tow, that she was "in love with".  Jay Leno said she took the message to heart!

Yiah, yaih, yiah, yiah, yiah!  It is shocking how many idiots there are among us.

Did you ever see the Mike and Molly show?  Molly, Melissa McCarthy, portrays a grade school teacher that was unhappy in the school system.  She longed to do something else.  Anything.  The opening show (entitled Molly Unleashed) shows her passing out exam tests and muttering to her students about being happy in life with their career choice.  You can see she is going over in her mind convincing herself that she needed to get out of the job before she suffocated.  She sets the timer for the test to begin then quickly snaps up the timer and turns it off telling her class of very impressionable minds that she may be just about to teach them the most important lesson they will ever learn.  She goes to the window, raises it then climbs into the window and falls out.  Later, when she is reliving the nightmare of her actions to her husband he says "But you left through a window" and she shrugs and says "well, anyone can leave through a door".  I saved this particular one on my DVR because it will always make me laugh.  Look it up sometime and watch if you like Melissa McCarthy, which I do.

I just want to let you all know how much I am enjoying "your alls" company tonight.  I am going to pour myself a glass of red and read some more.  The storm is blowing in and the rain will be here shortly.  A great night to be tucked in with friends!

Leslie, who is the actress who plays Mike's mother-in-law?

She is becoming a writer.  Her husband is a cop.  But it is her mother in law to me that makes the show.  All the cast members have strong personalities.  Mike's partner Carl and the diner that they eat at every day.  Just a cast of unforgettable characters.  And I can't forget Jim.  The little dog of the mother in law.  This dog steals the scene as all the dogs do.  If you go to Netflix or one of the computr sites just look for the episode "Molly Unleashed"

As for the teacher in the news article, she must have, unabashedly, read in the dress code, that female teachers no longer have to wear skirts to class. I mean literally. Poke my eyes out, wouldya, huh?
