My breakfast yesterday @ my Field Service Group.... And I had "seconds".... Portion control! emoji23.png notice no bread or grits! I added salt to my eggs! Got prepped for ministry! IMG-20170326-WA0000.jpeg

Mmmmm, scrambled eggs. But something's missing. :) Ahhhh! Shredded mozzarella cheese. Love that with my eggs.

I don't have "portion control" either.  But it's about time I learn.  Sounds like your doctor is behind the time regarding salt intake. :D

Actually that is from a more recent study which came out in contradiction to the salt free advice that goes back for decades. When hospitalized for congestive heart failure I was not put on a salt free diet. The other party in my room was, mine food tasted fine he growled about eating "this ______! "

Similar to the latest findings that choleresterol levels indicate that choleresterol consumption has no direct bearing on choleresterol level in blood, since your body manufactures your own cholesterol and does not take it in through the gut. As evidence of this patients on the Atkins diet, meat, eggs and cheese do not suffer from increased levels.

Doctors are very reluctant to recommend procedures that fly in the eye of common practice.

My Doctora heart specialist was fairly fresh out of school and used treatments that are not yet common among the medical proffession.

I have lived 12 years since being taken to the hospital in an ambulance for heart failure.  Look up the life prognosisi for CFG.

I also refuse statins based on my own research and a friend that became an invalid from taking statins.

I am not sying I am Superman, I am only saying that nobody has ever seen Superman  and me in a room together.

Speaking of statins. I had that issued covered with my doctor already. Told her nope. I like my doctor, but she's strictly pharmaceutical. Will push anything that the medical business people  says is the right thing to do. Once told me: "nothing over the counter works." Coming really close to thinking about going to another doc in town that I hear seems to be pretty good.

I have refused statins for years.  Now doctors are starting to realize that a lot of people can't take them.

My pain levels are high enough without more muscle pain caused by statins.

Consciousness, that annoying time between naps!
