Twas quite strange to hear those loud bangs as we watched the soccer game....this is really scary, especially the hostage situation.

Sister Fae, How likely would some of the brothers and sisters be attending the football (soccer) match tonight?

As likely as any other event. Watching a football friendly is a great opportunity to see good international football for not too much money, since friendly tickets are easier to come by. Of course, not every brother goes to watch a match.

Up to 80.000 people fit into that stadium. So given that it was full (I don't know) and the ratio of publishers in France is 1:500, it is surely possible that there were a few dozen brothers there when it happened. It is also possible some were at the concert, as far as I know it was a philharmonic concert where the hostage situation is underway.

Whether brothers or not, I will pray for all the innocent victims of all these horrible acts and that Jehovah will soon vindicate his name.

Thanks for insight Bro. Ruben.

Supplications indeed required for many regardless of brothers and sisters.!

Rumour has it Steinmeier and Hollande were evacuated from the stadium immediately after the blast.

What I heard on the news just now is that people that felt uncomfortable were barred from leaving the stadium.

They knew it was a terror attack and they just let the game continue (another 15+45 minutes??), then casually evacuated the stadium.

If all that is true, that's an outrage!!

Hi everyone, Paris calling!

Text messages flying between the friends, it's late here and basically the message is to stay Inside (naturally).  Won't really know what's going on or how bad things are until the morning.  Looks pretty bad though from the news reports.

Please pray for the brothers and sisters in the effected areas.

Agapé

Seems that the worst part is what happened / is happening in the Bataclan theater. The media is speaking about "hostage takers" wielding assault rifles and shooting for 10 minutes non-stop, carnage, dozens murdered...

I think we can not imagine the horror of what is going on right now.

But you know what this shows us? How fast things can change unexpectedly.

Is the media your end also trying to make a big circle around WHO the perpetrators are?

Over here in Germany they are repeatedly stressing we don't know if this is an islamic terror attack, since the guys carrying this out "didn't have beards"... seriously??

ISIS is already celebrating this gig by tweeting a hashtag "PARIS IS BURNING" in arabic. The same hashtag that was used during the Charlie Hebdo attack.

So if not muslims, it makes you wonder who else is supposed to be organized to carry out something this wicked on such a wide scale?

We heard three different locations were attacked at this time. There is an attack underway where they were holding hundreds of people hostage...at least 60 killed many more injured which they give no count.

They have shut down borders right now and no telling what else will happen tonight. I hope all the brothers and sisters are safe at home but it was the soccer stadium and concert hall and a restaurant too. The UN General Ban Ki Moon spoke out against the acts of violence as well already.

I'm so sick of Satan and his demons. I feel sick for them all.

What i've read is that the perpetrators at the concert hall were heard yelling "allahu akbar" and "This is for Syria" so that points to muslims a.k.a. ISIS.

There were handful of people who escaped the concert hall and they said that 6-8 people were inside shooting and the floor was all in blood.

I have to say that President Hollande looked very shook as he announced a state of emergency and closed the French borders. ..it's ongoing and will probably still be ongoing tomorrow. Terrorists like good exposure
