Scarey isn't it  what they have to offer  for men to lead their country's .....how grateful we can be to know  which ruler will soon be in power.  Can't come soon enough but I'm certain we will see some bizarre things  with what's happening on the political scene before Jehovahs appointed and rightful ruler takes over.

World conditions sure make it easy to have a conversation with others. EVERYONE keeps asking us who we are voting for, have you watched the latest debates, have you checked the  political climate....It is so easy to turn the conversation to the Lord's Prayer, then elaborate on the fact that our King doesn't die, so we don't have to elect another one.

People here in our country are hoping for big changes from our new President due to political corruptions we had over the decades. Yet the only solutions on these issues is the God's Kingdom (Dan 2:44)

Yes. He hates them because he said he didn't trust religions anymore.

All glory and praises goes to Jehovah :)

Duterte seems to be doing his best to sever his countries relationship with the USA and cultivate a new relationship with China. I was talking to a brother last night that has spent the last 5 year at the Philippines Bethel and he thinks that if Duterte opens relations with China that it may be a good opportunity for many of the Philippine pioneers to move to China and preach...

There is always a good side to world events...:)

From the article: Although Duterte was baptised a Catholic, his spiritual adviser is Apollo Quiboloy, head of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, a non-Catholic religious group based in the southern city of Davao.

If this is true, he may have read Rev 14:5, seeing the Catholic Church as Babylon the Great, a prostitute. It sort of fits. But this is probably due to his abrasive and combative nature, seeing those bishops as more 'garbage' to be cleaned up. And he may have suffered at their hands, as Alexa said. He must have some sort of God complex tho.

Duterte said he was annoyed about the criticism he had received and that "nobody was listening" to his reasons for having the crackdown, including U.S. President Barack Obama. He took aim at U.S. foreign policy and the United Nations and said he would be happier if China and Russia called the shots.
"You know, if China and Russia would decide to create a new order, I will be the first to join," he said.

Brother Tortuga, he reasoned out its because when he came to US he was just offered by a coffee. While he is hoping a banquet of food, he said China will provide him these things :)
