It's very sad.  It's utterly preventable.  It's happening again and again, just like Jehovah predicted.  Man cannot successfully govern himself.

Somaliland

It's being described as the worst humanitarian crisis since World War II. More than 20 million people are at risk of starvation, mostly in Africa. The tiny self-declared state of Somaliland has been hit hard by the worst drought in living memory, combined with hunger and deadly disease.

Drought caused by lack of rain is killing their cattle - their main source of income.  AWD (Acute Watery Diarrhea, similar to Cholera) is plaguing those weakened by the famine caused by the drought.  The last three horsemen of the Apocalypse ride here.

Yemen, this one is caused by war.

Yemen is descending into total collapse, its people facing war, famine and a deadly outbreak of cholera, as the world watches....

More than 8000 people have been killed since a Saudi-led coalition launched a military campaign in March 2015 against Iran-allied Huthi rebels who control the capital Sanaa. The conflict has left 17 million people facing dire food shortages including nearly seven million who are one step away from famine in the country, which is heavily dependent on food imports.

Somalia - terrorists here stop aid getting to those starving.

Aid groups took heart when the Somali Islamist group Al-Shabab announced that it would overturn a ban and let foreign workers into the country to help people left hungry by severe and protracted drought.  But now, just two weeks later, the Al-Shabab group seems to have changed its mind. It now says banned aid groups won't be allowed in. Al-Shabab has also accused the United Nations of exaggerating the severity of the drought for political purposes.

Kenya - drought affecting the East Coast of Africa, plus the refugees pouring into Kenya.  Doubly hit.

If you want to see something really depressing look up "Second Congo War" and look at the death toll (hint: it's the deadliest war since WWII and is therefore sometimes called the "African world war")

and then read about what is fuelling the militant groups there:  basically every ingredient in every component to produce the electronic device you're now reading this on. The cognitive dissonance is real…
