I like to listen while driving to work. It is against the law in Nevada to figit  with the phone while driving. I can't just swipe for the next chapter and then look for that small play arrow and hit

I can't access the magazines any more on JWReader.  It keeps crashing.  I'm using a rooted Nook Tablet. 

 

Maybe I'm being punished for rooting my tablet.

 

I don't know. Mine on my ASUS tablet still works fine. It does take a while to load, but it does finally load. Same with my phone (Galaxy S3). I am running hte latest version 3.8.

 

I do know the brother is pretty responsive to fixes.

I waited for a few months to update the JWreader. I knew there was a gliche with it. So today it said to update. So I did & went to access the magazines. Now there is no mags. Keeps shutting down with. This app is not responding. Help please?

I love the features JWreader has. Is there another that does similar functions. Like straight download for the mags.?

Yes, I too hope he updates it soon as I also was having problems.

 

I finaly uninstalled it and deleted all the files I had - except the daytext and Bible folders.

 

Then I reinstalled it and I had to re-download the magazines and books I wanted, but it worked.

There is one thats green. Is it different as in being able to download the publications & Read them?

The people that make a paid app called "jwReader" also make a paid app called "JWPlayer" I use this app a lot as it is a pre-configured podcast player and works very well. When the brother who makes the good "JWReader" (Syntax software) was asked to remove it from the app market by the branch, this other company started marketing their's since the name became available on the app market. But it is NOT the same as Syntax's "jwReader" and not near as good in my opinion.

Why did the branch ask for it to be removed from the Google Play store? I don't see anything wrong with it (at this time).

I really don't know their reasoning. They requested it be removed from the general market, but had no problems with him distributing it himself as he is doing through the Syntax website. I did not talk to the brother directly, my information is second hand at best.

Was about to ask the same thing...

But I tried this app and can't make it work on my S3 (maybe because of my custom rom)

I'm thinking of buying the jwreader on market. I sort of like this developer apps (ad a side note he has a new app for assemblies that seems very good. Although I don't know if it will work for other assemblies or just the current DC)
