  1. Having the menu sidebar on the left makes it look and act like the Android version. Also you no longer need to right-click or swipe from the top to bring up the menu optitions. They are already on the screen. Seems a lot more visual, and more room on the screen for content.

  2. Yesterday's public talk was great. Everyone was happy. It was my last talk in this congregation. I'm going back to France next week. Last prayer was difficult

  3. I just got back from Navarre Beach, FL; Sunday morning at 2:30a. This picture was taken at the Gulf of Mexico. One sunny week, with 16 people sharing a beach house. We had our own pier leading to an the inlet side of the island. It was beautiful! And the days just melted away, it was like 'What! It's time to pack up & leave...? Ahhhha... It was a much needed getaway.

  6. Good question, I think that if some congregations are using JWL to play the media, this might be handy for the songs the public speaker has selected...

  19. An article about the history of declining to salute the flag. In fact, they did not get everything wrong, which is rare. Long before Colin Kaepernick, Jehovah’s Witnesses have been declining to salute the flag (blastingnews)

  21. Tuesday, September 20 It is enough! Now, O Jehovah, take my life away, for I am no better than my forefathers.—1 Ki. 19:4. How did Jehovah feel when he looked down from heaven and saw his faithful prophet Elijah in despair? Did he reject his servant because he temporarily became depressed and lacked courage? Not at all! Jehovah took into account Elijah’s limitations and dispatched an angel. Twice the angel encouraged Elijah to eat. Thus, his upcoming journey would not “be too much for [him].” (1 Ki. 19:5-8) Yes, even before giving any directions, Jehovah listened to his prophet and took practical measures to sustain him. How can we imitate our caring God? We should not be quick to offer advice. (Prov. 18:13) It would be better first to take the time to express our empathy to those who may think that they are “less honorable” because of their personal circumstances. (1 Cor. 12:23) Then we would be in a position to act appropriately, according to the true need. w14 6/15 3:14-16

  25. Yes. I just looked at the WT study and that would be useful for the public talk.

  26. Yes, but because you were in the 'Media' section, it should technically be taking you to 'Sing to Jehovah--Orchestral Accompaniment,' which has the recordings of both the current and the new songs. That's where it takes you on iOS devices.

  27. Found a bug in the Windows version. Click on the Meeting button, then Show Media, then More Songs. It takes you to Publications rather than to the Songs. There is no Full Screen option with this new update. So even I though I like the new sidebar, and its more in line with other Win 10 apps, you can't hide it either.

    Explosion in NJ

Now another one in Elizabeth, NJ http://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/20/nyregion/pipe-bombs-found-near-train-station-in-elizabeth-nj-official-says.html?_r=0 ELIZABETH, N.J. — The bomb drama rattling the New York region arrived here on Sunday night when two men walked out of Hector’s Place Restaurant near the city’s train station and found a backpack containing five explosives resting atop a municipal garbage can, Mayor J. Christian Bollwage said. After finding that the backpack contained “wires and a pipe,” the mayor said, the men dropped the item in the street and contacted the Elizabeth Police Department shortly about 8:45 p.m. The police, in turn, called the Union County bomb squad, and the investigation was quickly turned over to the F.B.I. and the New Jersey State Police, Mr. Bollwage said.

  30. Oh, I'm on there but I don't really use it much, mainly because my kids post more than they call and it's almost the only way I can keep track of what is going on. I have Bill on there because he was writing articles and I liked reading them. I also have a Sister from Ireland on my FB, my sibling sister was vacationing in Ireland and I was going to try and have them meet, it didn't work out. Other than that, it mostly is in-laws and out-laws and some swap shops or garage sales places.... I am not a real big FB social presence. ..I sometimes get friends requests and it takes me days before I even notice. .lol

  31. My Denise talked to a Sister the other day that kinda thinks the same thing. She said that 'they' will have a disease and the only prevention or vaccine will be one made from human blood... I don't think that way but we still have to keep on the watch because who knows what that evil one will do?

  38. If American authorities are like their European homologues, they'll say those are three completely unrelated cases by harmless individuals with mental issues. Nothing to do with ISIS or international terrorism or religion. Nothing to worry too much about. Sorry for the victims and good that no one was killed.

That happened to me before. Closed the app and then it worked. On the other hand, on my wife's tablet it happened with the songbook (clicked from mwb) and I had to delete the songbook file (new songs) and re-download and then it worked

    Jehovah's Witnesses anti-gay?

Oh and one last thing, they're helping us distribute a magazine to people that would have otherwise not received a copy. Now police officers can see the truth we preach from the Bible, and may even check out JW.org, or listen to us when we come to their homes, etc. Not saying that they will agree with us and come onto the Truth, but the word is getting out to them as well, informally. I always, ALWAYS reflect on how the Truth researched Siberia. In an attempt to break the organization, the Soviets only helped the Truth spread to remote places! I call this "The Balaam Effect" -- turning curses into blessings!

  46. Jehovah's Witnesses as a group are obviously not anti-gay. We don't attack gays, we don't protest against them, and we don't treat them differently than we treat any other person. That article is a perfect example. However, some individual Witnesses do have strong prejudices against gays. These prejudices are not taught by the Slave, they probably come from their previous background in "Christian" churches. Jehovah by means of the Slave is using this kind of articles to correct that wrong and unloving attitude.
