We'll have to disagree on this, Ishaya. Jehovah hasn't given any instructions yet about other planets but it would seem reasonable to me if he does so in the future. Mars is very hostile to life in its present condition, but it can be terraformed the same as Earth was. With perfect humans having children and no one dying, earth will soon be overpopulated. It seems logical IMO that Jehovah created an infinite universe to be inhabited by a forever growing perfect humankind. For a long time the Slave was of that same opinion, that God's purpose for man was to stay on earth, but the 1986 book "Worldwide Security Under the Prince of Peace", page 184, paragraph 10 mentions as a possibility that other planets may be inhabited in the future: ** ws chap. 22 p. 184 par. 10 The God of the “Prince of Peace” Becomes “All Things to Everyone” *** To all eternity our earth will bear a distinction that no other planet throughout endless space will enjoy, though the earth may not be the only planet that will ever be inhabited. Uniquely, it will be where Jehovah has indisputably vindicated his universal sovereignty, establishing an eternal and universal legal precedent. I think similar thoughts, Mandi. Such horrors going on in the world and we cant even imagine what it must be like to live with such fear every minute of every day.

I am 5'7.5" Have been since 12 years old. I didn't really like that because I was always the tallest kid in school. Kids teased me and called me Olive Oyl because not only was I tall, I was also skinny. This left me with an inferiority complex all during life. But now, I know that Jehovah would never make fun of me! So I don't think I have the inferior complex anymore but I don't like too much attention. My story and I'm sticking to it! JWtalk was VERY slow till I showed up! I had alot to teach the mods. Once they were properly schooled in how to deal with all the different personalities, things went a lot more smoothly. (The Borg always wanted to assimilate everyone) I remember a time when they could barely deal with my 100 posts a day! LOL

I only noticed now but this issue has the biography of the brother who was the coordinator of our Portuguese branch for several years. I had the priviledge to meet him. Very humble, extraordinary brother and with talks able to lift the most heavy eyes, the ones we get after lunch and that very few brothers can get it to open

I think that it is reasonable to consider that Jehovah may allow is to go to other planets. He could prepare them just as he did the earth. Otherwise, when the earth is comfortably filled with righteous people, the child-bearing would cease. And what a joy our children are!

The origins of JWTalk are lost in the mists of time... This board only has content from 2010 onwards, but there was a previous board before this one. At first it was a small private group with just a few friends. You could only become a member by referral. With time, it became public and now we have over 4000 members. I joined in 2013 so I'm relatively new here. But when you have a look at older posts you realize that people come and go. Most of the those who were very active 2010 are no longer around or seldom post. And others have come and gone in the meantime. The discussions though are very similar. As Jerry said, it's like the same people with different names. Some months ago Bob made a topic with pics of how the forums looked with every previous software, but I am unable to locate it.

By the way, the first member that joined in 2006 was some old, sad brother named Chuck. He would sit in the chat room all day and no one would come in to talk to him so he eventually replaced most of his body parts with computer parts and assimilated himself into the forums software, where he now live out his lonely, friendless existence.

Today at the cicuit assembly our circuit overseer gave me the book “Fully Accomplish Your Ministry”.

My height had decreased through the years. I went from 72 and 1/2 inches down to little over 71 inches. Had my hip replaced and once again I was over 72 inches foot tall. I didn't mention it to my surgeon, I was afraid he would charge me extra.

I was 5 foot 6 and a half inches when I was measured for my high school graduation gown. I am now 5 foot 5 inches. So I've shrunk an inch. I have degenerative disc disease which, most likely, explains why I'm shrinking. I blame the degenerating discs on all the thousands upon thousands of hay bales, and rocks, I've hefted over forty years of farming. I just need to remain tall enough to get on all the really fun amusement park rides.

i really appreciate all those well though-out comments brothers and sisters.you know i have really wondered how the planet earth will be able to contain all the millions of Jehovah's faithful worshippers who have died over the the centuries and are awaiting resurrection in addition to us who will join them in the grave before the end comes plus the countless millions who will survive the great tribulation,[emoji15] !.but with your comments, i think i am gradually getting a clue how this might work out. really, i noticed that Jehovah hasn't revealed much about his intentions for other planets.so it will be safe to keep an open mind [emoji4] . My, my, Sis. Pauline, you have pushed my button (one of many buttons from which I suffer )... With regard to the word "entitle," may I mention this: In the early 1970s I became employed by one of the largest federal (US) agencies and was sent to their "school" (i.e., classroom instruction all day) for 3 months. During our first week of training, we spent 2 hours learning the meaning of "entitlement" from the agency's standpoint. The word had to do with becoming due an agency payment. "Entitlement" was contrasted with the word "eligibility," a word defined by the agency as having a potential for entitlement. A claimant (i.e., a person eligible for some sort of payment) could move from eligibility to establishing entitlement. That required submitting an application along with legal evidence (e.g., birth certificate, marriage certificate, tax return depending on the type of application) sufficient to result in approval. That led to payment(s). When I finished my training and attacked the job, I experienced the importance of the distinction between the two words (eligibility and entitlement). Some folks would come into the office and merely discuss eligibility/entitlement (asking questions and getting answers), then leave without submitting a signed application. A month or three later, they'd call the office, saying (usually with attitude ): "Where is my money!?" It usually took all the patience and humility I could muster to deal with the misunderstanding at that point.

Lord, we can't even inhabit the planet we are on prpoerly, we have basically destroyed the climate, animal life and environments on every continent and we think it's a good idea to inhabit another planet. Imperfect humans are a plague wherever they go but for some reason no one sees it.

5'7" now, I used to be 5'8" however my feet grew as my height diminished. They went from size 8 to size 10. So on my tip toes I'm still 5'8".

6' and my feet touch the floor when I stand, so I am the correct height for me.

Leon Weaver is the President of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York (and has been for some time). Don Adams used to be the President of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania (but he was in his 90's I think) and has been replaced. I can't think of the brothers name off-hand, I would have to look it up. We have dozens of corporations and each one has a Pres, Vice-Pres and Sec-Treasurer to meet corporate requirements.
