In the last days of the year, men will become lovers of yearbooks, they will be impatient, anxious, lovers of posts, watchful, searching, eager to download and from these you must associate.

The good news will be preached in all the inhabited earth and then the yearbook will come....

Of course the moderating staff, who ensure that everything we say is aligned to the Terms and Conditions ( by extension, Divine T&Cs), by lovingly alerting us when we go astray. Its amazing that they keep us entertained and educated, and still find time to monitor and to maintain the site. Its because of them that we have become attached ( or for some of us addicted) to this site.....We always have something to look forward to when we awake till the time we go to sleep. I think I speak for most of us ( though not adequately qualified) when I say that; " We love you brothers, may Jehovah continue to bless your selfless gesture, and please keep up the sterling work"

Yeah, I saw where Putin said - "We'll just work all this out with Trump in a month and have a party that Obama is gone." Fun times.

It's interesting isn't it that recently our convention programs have had more and more specific counsel and encouragement for us as Jehovah's Witnesses rather than developing Scriptural talks that the public can benefit from as well... for example, the statement 'Remain Loyal to Jehovah!' implies that it's directed to those who are already loyal to Jehovah in the first place. This year, my grandmother who is not in the truth came along to the whole Sunday program of the convention. She has been to assemblies before, but her reaction at the end of this year's was different. While she enjoyed the Hezekiah drama, she found the Sunday morning symposiums (with the great tribulation videos) to be very 'full-on,' not just because of the nature of the videos but because the information in those talks was primarily for us—talking about bad associations, fear of man etc., and she probably felt a bit confronted by what she saw and heard. I think the more direct nature of our convention programs is definitely a result of how close we are to the great tribulation—the focus needs to be on building our own faith and preparing ourselves for what is to come, not on trying to get as many people as possible to the public talk. Makes you wonder how long we will continue to have convention invitation campaigns.

This morning it was so beautiful driving home from work. It was about 7- 7:45, I was driving West so had to turn around to capture this photo behind the Oregon/Washington bridge. Beautiful. Later we're supposed to get snow and very cold temps. I guess it's a bit of beauty before the nasty weather.

And here is another pic of adorable Molly Moo. She went to work with me this morning, couldn't resist her prancing and twirling around as I got ready. We'd just got home, she had breakfast and was now looking for the cushion so she could nap. That look gets me every time.

Does anyone know if the orchestral got together recently? I think they normally do around this time of year. I wonder what music they recorded, new renditions for the choir maybe, or instrumental music for the conventions, based on the new songbook.

We all know that Carrie Fisher died a couple days ago. Someone told me that Fisher is a Jewish name. Lo behold!! My mother maiden name was Fisher. I did a little research on her father side and I found out that his father last name was Fisher and his wife last maiden name was Coffman in which that is Jewish name. A brother told me last night that he knew of Coffemans and Fishers in our area and they were Jewish. So, there is a good chance that I am Irish, Native American, French Canadian, German, and Jewish too. A true MUTT I Iam.

The Yearbook shall come on a day that he does not expect and in an hour that he does not know.

Even if it should delay, keep in expectation of it! For it will without fail come true. (in just one more week) Perhaps brother Jamie might send an additional picture to meet our spiritual need, while we try to be patient until next year.

It seems to me with the theme missing on the front, we're talking about it like the friends did in 1935, when only the letters JW was written on the program. Well, whatever the reason for the theme missing on the front, it's surely not a mistake. The brothers know exactly what they're doing! And so does Jehovah!!!

The letter seemed pretty clear that we needed to order and install the 2016 WT Library DVD to get the monthly updates. I'm sure the brothers had a good reason to send the letter...

Thanks Sis.. I am sorry about your kids, having adult people that you (generic you) have trained make such a poor decision causes one to question their training. I have told my youngest that I would drag her, kicking and screaming, by the hair, into the New System if such was possible. It is not. (I feel like I have more to say, I just don't know how to put it in words. I wish none of us have had to suffer from this kind of pain , I am thankful it won't be much longer )

However, it seems that it's just that the theme is not mentioned on the front of the invitation; many have had confirmed by letter that the theme for next year's convention is "Don't Give Up!" Love your thinking though

Hi dear brothers and sisters, I have been thinking of working on creating a small model of Solomon's temple and use it for educational discussions with the young ones in my congregation. I had been putting working on this for sometime now, but thought I should be taking this seriously now. Do you all have any suggestions on how I should be proceeding here? Are there any DIY models available out there which you have tried implementing? I am also interested to hear from any of my fellow brothers and sisters who have actually done this? This misunderstanding is why we were told to get our order in asap. Some in the Congregation like yourself thought the 2015 would update but the letter made it clear that it does not update to the 2016 program. One question that was left open was whether or not the 2015 would continue to update data one a year. I suspect the 2015 was a beta program and the 2016 is the real deal. The new program updates data every month.

Jamie, hmmm, and this is just speculation on my part, so you might not want to take it seriously. But since you say that the theme wasn't/ isn't mentioned on the invitation, I'm wondering if it'll be something like in 1935 (? I forget the exact year), when the letters JW was on the convention program, and no one knew what it was about until that famous announcement. Oh I'm not saying it'll be like that announcement or any announcement at all for that matter. But I found it interesting when you said there's no theme on it. We'll see. Jehovah never leaves us in the dark.

On a lighter note, we have a new kitten. Some low life people abandoned a mama cat, and four kittens blow our house. Those kittens were maybe six weeks old. We took all but one to the shelter. (Two needed socialized. We kept them to do that) Our kitten, Scooter is a beauty. Long hair, black and white, and just precious. He has three legs. His forth is deformed. His rear leg is bent backwards? Way backwards. And we have yet to see his actions challenged. You just look at him and he purrs. We figured the shelter would put him down. So, we have four kitties again.
