At my hall they have a brother (strong and in his 30's) as our security brother. But the door is unlocked. Our sister congregation has two brothers in the back, 2 at the phone tie up with a screen where the camera's pick up people outside the front door and we have one back door as well. The back door has a secure lock on it and only Elders and Reg. Pioneers have the key or combination to open the door. The front door needs a key to open the door. The sister congregation locks their doors at 12:30pm on Sunday's and Tuesday is their ministry school, the doors get locked right at 7:30pm. Like today's WT the part where the family from Bosnia was headed to Serbia to get baptized. Two scriptures quoted in paragraphs Acts and Psalms. Acts recounted how Paul and Silas beaten and thrown out of city, they had no angelic intervention. But then Ps 97 mention Jehovah looks after his loyal ones. Some made the comment's that perhaps Jehovah sent an angel through the brothers who came back for them after those on the bus got to the convention. Others said perhaps the soldiers maybe have had some compassion in them because these people were Bosian and going to a convention of harmless people like the Witnesses. Either way, the family made it to the convention and they were baptized. I hope they are still all alive and serving shoulder to shoulder with the friends in Bosnia and or Slovina. There have been strange things happening before with our brothers/sisters in the concentration camps during WWII and in Russia, during the Stalin purges. Jehovah hand is not short, but there are times when he may choose not to interfere. But anyway, it was a wonderful WT. But as for security, am afraid one strong brother is not enough. Doors that are locked are good and camera's to see who's lurking away from the peep hole. The camera see's the entire side of the building and driveway. Something to think about since Satan is on a rampage now.6 points -

Anyone seen it? Reviews are mixed. The story involves conspiracy and untruths. But the palette is spectacular! The vividness of Van Gogh's paintings come to life in this animated oil painted movie. Trailer: My sister saw it and liked it very much. Just suspend the truth and enjoy the look of it. Plot may disappoint. If you've seen it, let me know what you think.5 points -

Two antennas met on a roof, fell in love and got married. The ceremony wasn't much, but the reception was excellent. A jumper cable walks into a bar. The bartender says, "I'll serve you, but don't start anything." Two peanuts walk into a bar, and one was a salted. "Doc, I can't stop singing 'The Green, Green Grass of Home.'" "That sounds like Tom Jones Syndrome." "Is it common?" "Well, "It's Not Unusual." What do you call a fish with no eyes? A fsh. Two fish swim into a concrete wall. The one turns to the other and says " Dam !" Two Eskimos sitting in a kayak were chilly, so they lit a fire in the craft. Unsurprisingly it sank. Proving once again that you can't have your kayak and heat it too. A group of chess enthusiasts checked into a hotel and were standing in the lobby discussing their recent tournament victories. After about an hour, the manager came out of the office and asked them to disperse. "But why?" they asked, as they moved off. "Because," he said, "I can't stand chess-nuts boasting in an open foyer." A woman has twins and gives them up for adoption. One of them goes to a family in Egypt and is named "Ahmal." The other goes to a family in Spain ; they name him " Juan ." Years later, Juan sends a picture of himself to his birth mother. Upon receiving the picture, she tells her husband that she wishes she also had a picture of Ahmal. Her husband responds, "They're twins! If you've seen Juan , you've seen Ahmal." Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him...(Oh, man, this is so bad, it's good. . .) A super calloused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis. And finally, there was the person who sent twenty different puns to his friends, with the hope that at least ten of the puns would make them laugh. No pun in ten did5 points -

We are a bit like sitting ducks. Security is stepped up in a lot of Kingdom Halls, with door shutting when the meeting starts. Yes, Jehovah can protect us, but things have been allowed to happen too, like the bombing in a Sydney hall in the 1980's. But anyone in an auditorium type setting is also vulnerable - cinemas, concerts etc. As are the street malls, shopping areas, anywhere where cars can mow down people. The evil multiplies until it will be impossible not to feel fearful in public places. Can they deny things are different now?4 points -
At the Kingdom Hall I was visiting today a brother was literally sitting right in front/ beside of the door... I thought to myself how I appreciate that for so many reasons and when I got home I read about the shooting! My husband who doesn't go to the Kingdom Hall asked me about this as well.. he Said he thought it was selfless for brothers to watch and be vigilant like that. It would give others a chance if something like this happened at Kingdom Hall. So sad for those people today! End times indeed!4 points

BEST ONE EVER! So many lies about our research methods debunked, how we use quotes, and even the "two-witness" rule was explained as regards to why we have it and how it applies. Wow! What a lesson about getting personally involved with helping a sick NON-WITNESS boy with giving into the pressure to violate bible principles. By far the best one, in my view.3 points

I saw it a few weeks ago... it was magnificent!!! The amount of work that went into making it is mind-boggling... and the story is good, too (sad but good). Great voices... definitely worth a watch. Van Gogh is one of my very favorite artists. I loved it.3 points -
What a lovely broadcast. I look forward to watching it in full English as it becomes available! Was sad nothing was mentioned about the annual meeting or the world headquarters dedication, but maybe we’ll have a whole new program dedicated to just that! By the way I love the new song! :-) its available in Italian now....3 points

Since he is not around to say he was or wasn't gay, that may just be revisionist history - after all, to be politically correct, most of the figures MUST have been gay ..... it is the "new normal" and we should think it always was .... right????? The roundest knight at King Arthur's round table was Sir Cumference. He acquired his size from too much pi. I thought I saw an eye doctor on an Alaskan island, but it turned out to be an optical Aleutian . She was only a whiskey maker, but he loved her still. A rubber band pistol was confiscated from algebra class, because it was a weapon of math disruption. No matter how much you push the envelope, it'll still be stationery. Two hats were hanging on a hat rack in the hallway. One hat said to the other: 'You stay here; I'll go on a head.' I wondered why the baseball kept getting bigger. Then it hit me.2 points -

Let's see, Satan has his puppets, (his Asian puppets) NK to push the USA into a war, has China backing it up and Russia, right behind them. 3 navy ships headed towards NK because President is visiting SK on his Asian tour. Well, I guess we all have to wait and see what comes out of this triangle. Thank you for the person who posted the picture of the image and the stone not cut by human hands crash into the feet of the image and it blew up and will become like chaff in the wind! Tardigrades, often called water bears or moss piglets, are near-microscopic animals with long, plump bodies and scrunched-up heads. They have eight legs, and hands with four to eight claws on each. While strangely cute, these tiny animals are almost indestructible and can even survive in outer space. It is "strangely cute", but what an unusual creature! It really is indestructible - this article explains it's arsenal to staying alive no matter what. https://www.livescience.com/57985-tardigrade-facts.html Maybe our pets can be engineered with similar properties as the moss piglet in the new world?2 points -

The best Monday of the month is always the Broadcast Monday!! Loved the song, the segment on the three sisters (where's my tissue) and a thought provoking intro about reliable sources, no fake news with JW.org but a timely reminder for us all. Thank you brothers for all your hard work and so much work that goes on behind the scenes that we really don't know about. Faith strengthening2 points -
I'm loving the broadcast so far and I know I'll love the rest, however, the first topic about having a reliable source as to what is printed in our publications is awesome! So much hard work go into the finding and choosing sources of information printed, even updating those sources to make sure they are still reliable today. Wow! It relieves my mind to be able to explain to householders guestions or inquiries about past statements made in our publications the reason such as taken place. Oh! How humble! To admit that things change or new information arise and we have to go with those changes as the spiritual light gets brighter. I love knowing Jehovah and our brotherhood! I assured him she would and he told me later she did.. but I was really hoping that I was right..you don't want to disappoint the CO2 points

I've always felt sad that magnificent artists, inventors, et. were not honored and recompensed for their work while they were still alive. Many lived and died in poverty and unrecognized during their lifetime.. But fortunately, in the resurrection they will learn how much their contributions were loved and appreciated throughout the world..2 points -

Monday, November 6 Throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.—1 Pet. 5:7. Why does Jehovah not give us an immediate response to our every request? Recall that he likens our relationship with him to that of children with a father. (Ps. 103:13) A child cannot rightly expect a parent to grant every request or to do so right away. Some of a child’s requests may be mere passing whims. Others must wait till the time is right. Still others may not be in the child’s best interests or in the best interests of others involved. Furthermore, to concede immediately to a child’s every request would change the relationship to one of master and slave, the child being the master. Similarly, Jehovah may in our best interests allow time to pass before his response to our prayers becomes evident. That is his prerogative as our wise Creator, loving Master, and heavenly Father. Fulfilling all our requests right away would distort the proper relationship between us and him.—Isa. 29:16; 45:9. w15 4/15 4:6, 72 points -

Moms are great no matter how old you get. My mom sent me a package of her fig cookies. Growing up, I enjoyed my grandmothers fig cookies, but Mom went one step further and added more stuff to them to take them over the top. Oh so good. Filled with figs, raisins, almonds and chocolate, topped with a sweet sugary glaze. What's your favorite food your mom made when you were growing up??1 point -
A sister in my congregation had exactly that issue last week and it was a problem of full memory. There was no room to download any new publications. We deleted some pictures and videos to free up space and it worked well again.1 point
