  2. Lyrics to JW Broadcasting's Original song for November: Inspired by Your Wonders JW Broadcasting—November 2017 I hear the birds singing out to the sunrise. I see the stars fading away in the morning light. Golden sun shines on down through the treetops, Where there is a summer breeze that whispers so soft. And I sing, “O Jah, Jehovah my God, The work of your hands fills us with awe.” I stare at the stars, Wondering how you care who we are. I see your wonders, and I sing to you. I see your wonders, and I sing to you. I sing to you. These wondrous, moving, breathing creations— Oh, in the night, in the day— can you hear what they say? From mountaintops to the bottoms of oceans, Let ev’ry living thing sing out to your praise. And I sing, “O Jah, Jehovah my God, The work of your hands fills us with awe.” I stare at the stars, Wondering how you care who we are. I see your wonders, and I sing to you. I see your wonders, and I sing to you. I sing to you. Looking past what we can see with our eyes, We will come to know more about the One who gave us life. And I sing, “O Jah, Jehovah my God, The work of your hands fills us with awe.” I stare at the stars, Wondering how you care who we are. I see your wonders, and I sing to you. I see your wonders, and I sing to you. I see your wonders, and I—I sing to you. I see your wonders, and I—I sing to you. I see your wonders, and I—I sing to you. I sing to you. Lyrics to Original Songs from October 2014 through November 2017

  4. The best Monday of the month is always the Broadcast Monday!! Loved the song, the segment on the three sisters (where's my tissue) and a thought provoking intro about reliable sources, no fake news with JW.org but a timely reminder for us all. Thank you brothers for all your hard work and so much work that goes on behind the scenes that we really don't know about. Faith strengthening

  7. Speaking of spelling... and accuracy... when was the last time you ever saw a typographical error in one of our publications? A simple spelling mistake could easily creep into a magazine, but one of those eagle-eyed proofreaders at Bethel always seems to catch it! Yes, I have seen some over the years, but they are extremely rare. To draw on someone's statement in the broadcast, if they're that meticulous over spelling, they are definitely that meticulous about teaching us the truth!

  10. Any WORD processing program... even notepad will do. So, notepad, and MS word among the others. I use notepad++ (advanced notepad), and it even breaks the text into new lines. VTT files are used for displaying subtitles in web videos. There are online converters as well, which will convert vtt to srt, for example.

  11. I got a few things right in brother Splanes quiz, I knew for example we don't know how close a relation John was with Jesus... I love the brothers for being so thorough. I love that I can usually just quote a magazine confident that its as accurate as possible.

  12. The subtitles are embedded in the .mp4 file by jw.org. You will need to do the following: How to extract subtitles from mp4 file? http://www.talarczyk.com/how-to-extract-subtitles-from-an-mp4-file/ 1. Download and install the utility ffmpeg 2. Check if subtitles exist in the file. (the filename containing the mp4 video in this example is file.mp4) ffmpeg -i file.mp4 3. This extracts the subtitles from the file file.mp4 into file.srt "C:\Program Files (x86)\SoundBox2014\ffmpeg.exe" -i file.mp4 -vn -an -codec:s:0.2 srt file.srt

  13. I'm loving the broadcast so far and I know I'll love the rest, however, the first topic about having a reliable source as to what is printed in our publications is awesome! So much hard work go into the finding and choosing sources of information printed, even updating those sources to make sure they are still reliable today. Wow! It relieves my mind to be able to explain to householders guestions or inquiries about past statements made in our publications the reason such as taken place. Oh! How humble! To admit that things change or new information arise and we have to go with those changes as the spiritual light gets brighter. I love knowing Jehovah and our brotherhood! Not saying all women are the same but my experience is...they often don’t say what they mean and we’re left to try and interpret it correctly (or else). Sisters please don’t attack me. That’s just been my experience, and evidently many others as well. Many men I know have a number of idiosyncrasies as well.

    Leonardo da Vinci

We visited Florence last month and I was deeply impressed by the works of Leonardo, from his paintings to his flying machines to his studies on anatomy. I don't care what imperfections he had or what his private life was like because I don't intend to be his friend, just admire his artwork. I don't care if the waiter who serves my hamburger or the doctor who is treating me are immoral, adulterous or homosexual either. I just expect them to do the job I pay them for. Not my circus, not my monkeys.

That could be true. You would notice that more than I would. Speaking of submissive. In bible times when instruction about submissiveness was discussed, the husband wife relationship was different (I think), than it is today. Today in this modern, much more liberal world, submission is a very negative connotation. I've know hundreds of brothers and sisters and very few are submissive in the biblical sense. It more of a partnership and in many cases the woman has more control. I'm not complaining....just observing. I think women have been viewed as property, abused, or dominated for way too long. It seems when something is unbalanced it has a tendancy to eventually swing to the other extreme. Nowadays we're faced with so many decisions in stressful situations that can challenge a partnership. In the new world those conditions won't exist. That alone will take a tremendous strain off of male/female relationships.....I hope.

I think I may be one of the rare people (at least amongst Witnesses) that doesn't find that discovering someone is homosexual repellent. It's a sad imperfection no different to what all of us have to deal with on some level.. and a sinfulness on par with lying, so... I can respect someone's talent, gifts, attractiveness and struggle - whether they're homosexual or heterosexual.

  30. Can someone confirm please, I’ve watched the broadcast several times, is it just my tv glitching, or did anyone else notice there’s a little edit over bro splane’s voice!? It’s when he’s talking about, “ In 325 C.E, the Roman Emperor Constantine establishing Christianity as the official religion of the Roman empire”.... Then he says, ‘Apostate Christianity didn’t become the official religion, until 391 C.E.’ Well you can see bro Splane don’t actually say 391 C.E but it’s dubbed over!! I’m confused, what does this mean & what did he really say?? Any help please.... Its at the 13min mark from the beginning of the broadcast.

  34. BEST ONE EVER! So many lies about our research methods debunked, how we use quotes, and even the "two-witness" rule was explained as regards to why we have it and how it applies. Wow! What a lesson about getting personally involved with helping a sick NON-WITNESS boy with giving into the pressure to violate bible principles. By far the best one, in my view.

  43. As I have stated a couple of times, my age and physical handicaps have made typing long posts is an agony for me. I don't see what I have typed, but what I think I have typed. When making a correction or pausing for a moment I often leave double entries like 'and and'. I leave out objects such 'a' or 'the. My spelling coupled with lost typing skills due to somewhat crippled fingers leaves me disconsolate when I look at my posts. If I type in MS WORD some of these problems corrected but not a majority. Now that I have cried on your shoulder and gotten your attention, I want to tell you about a nifty program that solves most of my problems. Sorry, it does not cure dyslexia so I will continue to put the cart before the horse, (or is that the cart before the hearse?) The app is called Grammarly and is a free download from the Windows Store. It functions if you have Google Chrome installed and it really works. In the above paragraph, it called out for at least 20 corrections. It works in any document you are typing including email. If you try it let me know what you think of it.

  46. Two antennas met on a roof, fell in love and got married. The ceremony wasn't much, but the reception was excellent. A jumper cable walks into a bar. The bartender says, "I'll serve you, but don't start anything." Two peanuts walk into a bar, and one was a salted. "Doc, I can't stop singing 'The Green, Green Grass of Home.'" "That sounds like Tom Jones Syndrome." "Is it common?" "Well, "It's Not Unusual." What do you call a fish with no eyes? A fsh. Two fish swim into a concrete wall. The one turns to the other and says " Dam !" Two Eskimos sitting in a kayak were chilly, so they lit a fire in the craft. Unsurprisingly it sank. Proving once again that you can't have your kayak and heat it too. A group of chess enthusiasts checked into a hotel and were standing in the lobby discussing their recent tournament victories. After about an hour, the manager came out of the office and asked them to disperse. "But why?" they asked, as they moved off. "Because," he said, "I can't stand chess-nuts boasting in an open foyer." A woman has twins and gives them up for adoption. One of them goes to a family in Egypt and is named "Ahmal." The other goes to a family in Spain ; they name him " Juan ." Years later, Juan sends a picture of himself to his birth mother. Upon receiving the picture, she tells her husband that she wishes she also had a picture of Ahmal. Her husband responds, "They're twins! If you've seen Juan , you've seen Ahmal." Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him...(Oh, man, this is so bad, it's good. . .) A super calloused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis. And finally, there was the person who sent twenty different puns to his friends, with the hope that at least ten of the puns would make them laugh. No pun in ten did
