Several times I have used the following technique - if a recorded voice, I hang up, but....if it is a real person, I say "This line is dedicated to Bible study work. Are you calling to schedule a Bible study?" Usually that stammer and stutter and say "wha...what? wha..." and I repeat the sentence. They usually hang up without saying another word. I have enjoyed doing this, especially to a 'real' person. LOL

My, I think I opened a can of worms...

No, I am not trying to say that "life occurs out of nowhere" and I am not talking about "spontaneous generation" - I was trying to ascertain what the term "dead food" meant. Let me explain: As more than one study has shown, if I take a piece of meat that I bought at the store and bring it home still sealed in the plastic wrap, open the package and make sure that, when I place it under glass, no flies land on it or come near it - and, I leave it there until it begins to rot, magots will, in time, cover the meat. This is not because they spontaneously generated and they did not occur out of nowhere - the eggs were already in/on the meat. I did not put them there. I do not know when and how they got there - but, the birth of the magots shows they were there. So - was the meat "dead"? The same is true of the flour. If I keep the flour long enough or store it in the "right" condition, the "flour weevils" will show up. I did not put them in there and I cannot say just when the eggs got in there, I just know they must have been since the bugs hatched. So - was the flour dead? I was simply commenting on the comment about "dead food" - because, I don't know about you, I do not consider a piece of meat I bring home from the store as being "alive". I would think I would know the difference - I have helped butcher enough meat that was alive before it went from animal to meat. Sorry if I confused you .... Somewhere, I remember the suggestion that we memorize songs and scriptures. I got the songbook out. Fizzled. Then, as I was listening to the oldies station, and singing along, it dawned on me. Listen to those songs. A few are my absolute favorites. There are mine because I have listened to them over and over. I choose,”Loght in a darkened world” to learn. Did this because I thought of it as a dirge. Beautiful poetry. I want to memorize a babtismal song. (Well on my way) and a Memorial song! Some of our songs are just too beautiful for words! I really enjoy Clive Cussler audio books. For the first time, I haven’t popped it in the CD player! I feel squimish shutting down a Kingdom song for that book! Scriptures. Another thing...

When I was a starving pioneer, a loving older sister dropped off a kettle of white beans cooked with a ham. This was mid-afternoon, my partner and I hadn't eaten anything except a bowl of mush for breakfast 8 hours earlier. We gobbled down a helping each when we note some dark items scattered through the beans. On close examination they were weevils. Concluding we had already consumed many we both had another helping. By this time we had slowed down enough to really assess the ration of weevils to beans we lost what appetite we had remaining. Until this day I still think those were the tastiest beans I ever ate.

My favorite quote from this was: "Don't be upset that roses have thorns. Be GLAD that some thorn bushes have roses!"

I pretty well say the same as above. I also ask for their name and address and a suitable time for someone to visit them. If they are still on the line, I then tell them some of the questions they will find answers to: what happens when we die? Etc.

Update: The scammers persisted for an entire week, calling every few minutes. We never picked up and it has been several days since they have annoyed us. I believe only Armageddon will remove them completely.

Found this favorite tucked away in an old book. I have made it three times this past week. Depending on how hot you like things buy your sliced jarred jalapeños accordingly. Line a cookie sheet with single layer of jalapeños. Almost a solid layer with a 12 oz jar. Take 2 cups of shredded cheese and I cup of Parmasean shaker cheese and mix well with 5 beaten eggs. Spread over jalapeños. Take a pound of Jimmy Dean breakafast sUsage or your favorite and brown and sprinkle over egg mixture. Buy a pound of Munster cheese #3 thickness sliced at the deli counter and layer in a solid layer over top. Bake at 375 for 35-40 minutes till golden brown and bubbly! Remove and let cool for 15-20 minutes then cut into bite size squares. They can be reheated next day if any left over for 15-20 seconds in microwave. I have done this with sautéed mushrooms too. So easy to change the topping. Just stick to the jalapeño layer, egg and cheese then your favorite toppings then layer of Muenster. So good and no carbs!

I love music. The first instrument I want to learn to play is a violin. Took piano lessons as a kid. I’ve thought about getting one of those little portable keyboards, just for fun. But, times being times, I’m waiting. I barely get done what I have to, today. i have a long list of, “I’m waiting”.

I know what your saying, but this CO in his feiry tone, said that God himself was going to make his name known, he said personally make his name known. So he propbably was all fire up, but later in the program at the end of the last talk, he told the audience, about the new scrolls, and how these scrolls will be an introduction to the paradise, its new laws, and how to apply them. First we have to learn the new scrolls ourselves and it will be done (according to his words) like we are trained now with the ministry school first. Then when the people are resurrected, we will know what the new scolls tell us so we our prepared to tell others (teach them). On my way back from the assembly, we talked about this, and we were wondering at some of those statements he made about the new scolls in the paradise. We all agreed in the car group that we'll wait on the F&DS to have it in writing and tell us what the new scrolls may entail. We did not want to speculate. We left this up to Jehovah and Jesus Christ.

As I listened to the public talk This morning, the account of the hand writing on the wall, and what happened that night. I think it would be, well, pretty awesome, for some in public office who have shown hatred for Jehovah’s people to see that hand, and a pertinent message, right before their demise!

That’s what I am saying. When the end comes...those with hatred in their hearts for Jehovah’s people, this happens at the end of this system. My thought, as the system rapidly ends....just a flight of fantasy for mr. That’s all.

Today I had my Circuit Assembly Do Not Give Up. One of the talks by the C.O. said During the G.T. and right there and then at Armagadden, Jehovah alone will strike personally those who have mocked him and who have mocked his people. His rage will be so great that even some of us may shake in fear, but we shouldn't be afraid, because Jehovah once and for all will wipe these monster like people off the face of the planet and then they will be NO MORE. I thought that talk was stirring and faithbuidling!

Eleven days to the shortest day. Why has this year been so hard?

When William Tyndale was being executed, it is reported that he prayed to God "to let the eyes of the King of England be opened" (as to the printing of the Bible in English). And less than 50 years later the King did decree the publication. We can pray for a good and proper outcome as well. We just hope it doesn't take 50 years.

I suppose we could put this under the heading, "Any Publicity Is Good Publicity," which is the gist of what Paul said while under house arrest in Rome: "True, some are preaching the Christ through envy and rivalry, but others also through goodwill. The latter are publicizing the Christ out of love, for they know I am set here for the defense of the good news; but the former do it out of contentiousness, not with a pure motive, for they are supposing to stir up tribulation [for me] in my [prison] bonds. In his book, Reversing Inflammation, Don Colbert says that the flour in my grandmother's day was less processed and so contained more nutrients and was more able to sustain the life of these bugs, used to be called flour weevils. But today, flour is so processed in most cases for longer shelf life, that it is devoid of anything for the bugs to live on...this holds true with any food. The pasta I bought in the health food store had the problem because it was not white flour but spinach or some sort of flour not white and as processed, and probably was old as well, as this store did not seem to have a big turnover. I'm sure on google more instances could be found to explain better what I am trying to say..

Their time is coming. And, Jehovah being Jehovah, I do believe Russia’s upcoming will be unique and classy. They will so know what a huge mistake they made. Just moving along, closer to Jehovah’s retribution! And freedom and a glorious future for our dear faithful brothers and sisters in Russia.

I suspect my rest home will be the grave, or the new system. There I get to rest from this nonsense, and work hard!

Not to worry though. It has been noted by some in this topic that the Russian court cases have all been pre-decided long before anyone ever gets into the courtroom. Their scenes of a courtroom with a judge and lawyers are just for show, to give a semblance of justice where there in none. However, Russia fails to see that Jehovah is watching them, taking note of what they are doing. When it comes their time to appear before the Highest Court in the Universe, the Great Judge will already have enough evidence to convict them. To them, it will look like their conviction was pre-decided, and even that there was no trial or hearing. But in reality, Jehovah was watching them all along. He knows more about the case than they do, and so is able to make a perfect judgment. To that, there will be no appeal.

The old letters will be reinstalled at the society’s new headquarters.
