I recently found a very useful app for my Android phone called Silent Manager.. My wife told me she had misplaced her phone somewhere in the house awhile back and it was muted so she couldn't call it. She found her phone but she wanted to know if there was a way to make the phone ring when it was muted. I know there are a lot of "Find My Phone" type apps available but the ones I had looked at required another phone or PC to locate the missing phone, since I wasn't home the day she misplaced her phone that type of app would not have helped her. I found an older app called Silent Manager and you can select up to 5 contact in your phone and if any of the selected contact call or text you, the phone notifications will be audible even if the phone is muted. So now if she misplaces her phone, she can call it using the home phone or I can call it with my cell phone. It is really designed to let you hear important calls or texts while your phone is muted. I usually keep my phone muted all the time but I'll unmute it when she is out so I don't miss her call or text, now I can keep it muted.. Pretty handy...

I do not have a doubt even for a second that Jehovah will intervene when its best time to show his name and how much he loves his loyal servants. It might seem for some people at the moment that Jehovah is far away from the ongoing problem in Russia or he doesn’t exist but no, Jehovah is with us and knows what to do, when to do and most importantly how to do!. Its jist matter of the time.

The broadcast was wonderful, I must admit I had no idea there were so many projects or the size of them... I loved the list of all the (dead) dictators that have tried and failed to stop our work; the message to the Russian authorities was clearn. Also I noticed Br Lösch, when speaking about the final attack of Gog, said that "it stands to reason [Jehovah] will also protect physical Headquarters" (Zech 2:5, 8 ; Isaiah 43:21)!!!

We watched the January Broadcast this evening as part of our family warship. And as always, the Broadcast was spiritually uplifting and encouraging! Where can you find such unity and faith as it is between us? There is no better privilege on earth then to be one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, especially this time, as we are approaching the end of this system of things. Thank you to all brothers who prepared the JW Broadcast for us.

By the way, Watchtower Online Library is now available in over 500 languages ~ 511 to be exact. It's also growing so fast!

In the Awake! No. 6, 2017 there is an article about Alhazen, a scientist. It talks about how he wrote The Book of Optics, built the first recorded Camera Obscura, and is considered by some to be the father of the scientific method. I went back and found in the BBC Documentary Science and Islam where it talks about him and his contributions to science. It's a little after the 1:43 point. This really is getting more difficult and I believe this is why the GB is giving us a heads up. As the world gets more and more polarized. We have to constantly fight the current. Being opinionated creatures makes it more difficult.

The organization has produced several children's songs over the past few years in videos. Many of them are posted on JW Broadcasting. Some were songs from our songbook, others were original songs, and a few were in the Become Jehovah's Friend series. Personally, I love the voices of children singing. They sound so cute and innocent. The problem is that none of those songs has ever been released in mp3 format so we can listen to them on our iPhones or whatever device we have. If you would like to listen to all 33 children's songs produced so far, you can download them in mp3 format from my Children's Songs collection. (You may download individual songs by right-clicking. Or to download the whole collection at once, click the Download button at the top left corner.) I will add more songs to that collection as they become available. Oh my Sandra you are correct! Everywhere is freezing. I have been making the Pioneer Woman's chili. Very simple and delicious. And instead of her canned version I make fresh black, red, and white beans all in one pot. And then add her other (sodium free) canned items. It is so good and filling. There has been an ongoing debate about what goes with chili or soup: Is it fluffy biscuits or cornbread...I have been eating biscuits with it and have been so happy. Winter is all about full bellies warmth and cozy. Prep Time: 5 Minutes Difficulty: Easy Cook Time: 20 Minutes Servings: 6 Servings Ingredients 1 can Meat-only Chili 1 can 15-ounce Kidney Beans 1 can (15 Ounce) Pinto Beans 1 can (15 Oz. Size) Black Beans 1 can 15-ounce Diced Tomatoes 1 can (15-ounce) Corn (I Used Fiesta Variety) 1 can (10 Ounce) Rotel Salt And Pepper, to taste 8 ounces, weight Velveeta, Cubed Instructions Without draining the cans, empty the corn, chili, kidney beans, pinto beans, black beans, tomatoes and tomatoes with green chilies into a large pot over high heat. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes to bring all the flavors together. Add salt and pepper as needed. Dice the cheese and stir it into the soup until melted. Serve immediately.

Tekmantwo, From my perspective, 2 inch beard isn’t that long to make such a big deal. Probably there was some other reason behind, to why they dealt with that doctor that way. France was dealing unfairly with our dear brothers util the Europian Court made the right decision. The doctor’s solicitor said they will appeal the case. So we never know how will it end.

When I read that article I too misunderstood. I was under the impression that he was the guy pictured, with the long flowing beard. Since I learned his beard was just less than 2 inches, I would not have a problem with him, if he wore a net if he had to do surgery on me. The Dr. that did my first knee replacement was a Muslim man and bearded. His beard was covered during my surgery, the results, tho bad, were not because of his beard. I did have a hairy experience with another Dr., I was in ER to get stitches in my forehead, a number of days later it didn't seem to be healing correctly so I started looking and scratching at the stiches and wound up pulling a hair out of the wound. You would have thought that they would have cleaned it better before sewing class was started. Head wounds bleed profusely and this was no exception, I had blood everywhere. I had held an ice cube in a rag smashed into it to slow the blood loss but someone missed that hair...oh well. ..

All videos released the same month have the same issue number. So the song was going to part of January's broadcast, so given 201801. I have been in construction most of my life. To a small degree I understand the challenges to get a simple home completed on time and on budget. (Psalm 127:1) . . . Unless Jehovah builds the house, It is in vain that its builders work hard on it. Unless Jehovah guards the city, It is in vain that the guard stays awake. All praise goes to Jehovah for the wonderful work he has done. On another note, It touched my heart and made me proud to see the army of sisters working hard in this as well. All you sisters deserve a warm "well done" for all that You have done. Jehovah certainly used the "weak" to put the strong to shame, all in praise of him as was brought out in the broadcast. I'm glad that they mentioned that selling all the properties in NYC more than covered the new construction work. Another thing to praise Jehovah for.

Thank you VinnIe! I had completely forgotten about the scripture in Judges! The father making the vow did not consult his daughter for her desires. Much like when my husband would invite everyone, and I mean everyone, over for a dinner without asking me first. forgetting to tell me that 40 people were coming by for supper but he forgot to mention it until just now. I could have thrown a fit and cursed him (to tell the truth I did) but I want to remember it as if I were Jepethats daughter and loving supported his every decision ! But you realize what the important issues are and make the sacrifice. At that time he had invited many snobbish LA/Beverly Hills realtors over since he did business with them and they were a good source of income for his business. That must have been where the saying originated ‘the price of doing business’.

Gave the public talk out of town yesterday. Today feels like a vacation day. I get anxiety weeks before I give my talks. Never use to be that way. Gets worse as time goes by. I want to quit, but my Wife says she will tell me when it is time to pull the plug if the BOE doesn't do it first.
