What concept would be so compelling? One of Satan's goals is to get humans to believe that Human rule is best - that it can ACTUALLY achieve "Peace and security". Soon we will hear them say that they ACTUALLY HAVE achieved it. It will be interesting to see what can make them feel that they HAVE ACTUALLY acheived this. Could there be a "miracle" that the devil pulls off that will be convincing - signs and wonders that may even mislead the Holy ones (Matt 24:24)? Maybe. It is possible. I hadn't thought of that angle. Well, interesting times ahead.

Cusp. -- Yes, I had seen this word before but had to look up again last night. A synonym for cusp is "apex", which denotes "the uppermost point" or "the highest or culminating point". Either way, Brother Schafer brought the critical point home: the Great Tribulation is now imminent and we must be spiritually prepared! (Jehovah, save us, please, we beg! -- Ps.118:25a.) Side note: A relative once mentioned a couple of years ago that one would have to be "deaf, dumb, and blind" not to realize that we are in the "last minutes" of this old system of things. As in the days of Noah nowadays masses of the population are doing the same: i.e., eating, drinking, men marrying and women given in marriage and taking no note -- until it's too late! I believe it's not a coincidence that the theme of each regional convention from the last 5 years (including this year) ties in with what we, as Jehovah's people, must do in our lives to win the race. Do we not all fondly remember the grand theme in 2014 to "Keep Seeking First God's kingdom", a life-saving work that we are commissioned to do as we "Imitate Jesus", our Exemplar? By fulfilling this divine commission, we also in turn, "Remain Loyal to Jehovah" and He will be loyal to us. And by their shining example and having the "peace of God that excels all thought" our Russian, Eritrean, Korean, and Venezuelan family is telling us "Don't Give Up", we're so close; now is not the time to shrink back! Do not tire out...keep running towards that finish line! And soon, our message of good news will turn into a message of judgment. Will we "Be Courageous" like Jonah when that time arrives? For me...I pray so!

At least we know what it is about, and we know the basics. We can prepare. We’ve been given the ability to do just that. Jehovah will not treat any of us differently because, “the dominoes started falling”, and we live where the convention hasn’t happened. His education and protection will continue on into the new system. In the meantime talks like this are a gift. Serious stuff. We have talked about the end for years, and, “we are on the cusp”. Serious, yet exciting. This is a good video to watch over and over, and over.

”So here we are, right on the cusp of the outbreak of the great tribulation.” I had to look up the word cusp since it was new to me. In swedish it was translated to the tip of something, like a knife, a spear or a pencil. That says to me that it can tip over just anytime. And so easy, it takes just a little puff and it starts. But I hope we all get to attend our convention about courage first.

Could it be the year of the GT? So many elements are in place... and this spiritual food we get served...

Just imagine: "Peace and Security". A declaration. Based upon what? Something very compelling. Perhaps accompanied by 'signs and wonders'. Then, destruction of Babylon the Great. Then a respite. Then, our message changes to one of judgment. Can you imagine, as the world celebrates peace, security and their human institutions, along we come with a strong judgment message ! WOW!! The courage we will need is unimaginable. We will have a sense of what it took for Noah and Jonah to accomplish their assignments. And the theme for this year's RC? Yep - Courage !

The Sunday talks about courage have me thinking about Matthew 24:45 where Jesus said that the faithful and discreet slave would give the domestics “their food at the proper time.” We will be hearing these talks soon for a reason. The reason being, that the end of this system of things is near at hand

This is not a time to be sluggish in our service to Jehovah.

LOL...I was begging Jehovah recently (last week) to help me find a way to increase my share in the ministry this month.(I needed a partner and mostly everyone in my congregation works during the day and/or the pioneers I know make their own arrangements.) So, the following day I get a text message from a friend and she said: Hey! I'm going out tomorrow to meet the group for afternoon witnessing...wanna join us?! Jehovah indeed answers prayers! #KEEPONASKING

I have a houseguest this week. A friend of mine in our congregation went on a cruise for a week (much deserved), and needed someone to bird-sit for him. I'd like you to meet Nico: He's not the friendliest pet I've ever had (doesn't like anyone to get too close), but seems to be getting used to the environment. I have a recording of bird sounds in a forest, and when I play that it makes him chirp to no end! He sometimes hops over to the loudspeaker (the black thing behind him) and starts pecking at it. He's just determined to find those birds!

The clue is in the scripture itself: Those that don't (including in their own homes) shouldn't be surprised if they don't receive much honour or respect. This is a good text for those of us serving in a position of oversight, not to show others that we deserve respect but rather to make sure that we are indeed setting a fine example for others to follow. We shouldn't be doing things to receive glory nor honour but maybe if some brothers and sisters are a bit brusk with us, could the reason be that we are not setting a fine example? The final word in the text today is vital for appointed men: "humility". Those are my musings on today's text.

I've listened to this three times so far. No doubt, I will review many more times because that's what it seems to take for me to digest and retain the deeper things... and yes, that above section is what I am fixated on at the moment. A fairly clear picture is emerging of what we can expect.. Thank you Jehovah for always preparing your servants!

No snow here in Australian tropics. Hot steamy, rainy conditions. Cruise ship visiting today, and we are trying to do carts... 30C and 100% humidity (raining). Or the Middle East. Talked to a man a couple of days ago that served in Lebanon as a Un-soldier in the 1980-ies. He said, muslims were shooting at muslims and christians at christians, so it wasnt a religious war at all as you would think. It will never be peace in that region. Not in my lifetime, its too complicated. (He was in his 50-ies)

Wow what a great talk! Truly rings some bells for us. Btw this just came to my mind, so thought of sharing it here. I remember, long back during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, led by Saddam Hussein, an Arab reporter asked him (Saddam) what prompted him to invade Kuwait and his reply was that "allah" appeared to him in a dream and repeatedly told him to do so. Since we know that Satan has entrusted his demon princes to share with him in ruling the earth now just like back in Daniels time when the "prince of the royal realm of Persia"...stood in opposition to the angel commissioned by God, could it be that the p&s be initiated through a gathering of world leaders at the UN alongwith the relative bad guys like kim and rouhani and they make 'peace' with trump? If so then that would mark a great portent by Satan's princes, acting together for the final war, and deceiving the masses to believing that the elusive world peace is now a reality. Thats my 2 cents there... we can wait and see how things unfold...

Burns me up as well. Have to continually remind myself that Jehovah is fully able to stop any of this at any time. Maybe there are reasons that he is allowing this to happen.. for now anyway. We all know what is soon coming down the pipeline.

Rev 16:13,14 He quoted this scripture ...please listen again. This, as far I am concerned never been mentioned before - This talk deals with it.

Now THAT is what I got. So the "even" means - it will likely mislead most people BUT it may EVEN lead some of God's people astray.

Wow! I never heard him say anything about "God's approval" in the saying of P&S. I will listen to it again.

What I took from this talk is that they make pronouncement of PS and Satan "pulls off" a "miracle" or sign pretending that the PS pronouncement has God's approval.

My niece in St Maarten had brother Sanderson drop by their meeting this morning. He was there to check out the disaster relief work, and on a tight schedule, but stopped by the hall and shared some words of encouragement.

What a program! We must be close to the end! very specific talks that deal with each stage through to Armageddon and beyond. The brothers want us to ‘remember’ and be taught by this series of conventions that will aid us through this very time period. (Inserting opinion next) If it (GT) were still many many years away we likely may have forgotten the teaching, talks, videos that the brothers want us to recall and benefit from. Can we remember any of the teaching points from the district convention 10years ago? But a great self developmental convention for acquiring courage.

I just talked to my daughter, in Canada. There is a real chance they may have to move to Holland. Her husband’s homeland. I have mixed feelings. My granddaughters will become bilingual, as will my daughter. But, it is sooo far away. It was hard to get to Canada to see them!
