I kinda giggle when I see things like NK denuclearization in the news. When Soviet Union when bankrupt in the early 90s, the US and Europe bailed them out in exchange for a few changes on their part. Now they are more dangerous than ever before. NK will make a few changes to get an influx of money and then back to their old self, as I see it. Maybe the saying of peace and security this time will lead the world to the GT, only Jah knows.7 points

Anti-trinity bookmark Bible cards
Sister Susie and 4 others reacted to EccentricM for a topic
Anti-trinity bookmark Bible cards View File I made some book cards which can be printed off and laminated. I measured them out and so when they print they "should" be the exact size which can fit into a Bible. I have covered topics quickly of why our Bibles say "a god" at John 1:1 instead of "was God", the meaning of theos and Jesus being called a god, as well as on the topic of 1 John and the falsehood of the "3 are 1" scripture. All with references and quotes to direct lexicons and interlinears (Diaglott) with screen shots for instant visual evidence also. I plan on just placing these cards at specific scriptures seeing that people who have trinity beliefs are quick to the draw on them. Iksplorer and 2 others reacted to GeordieGirl for a topic
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-44116340 In the deadliest day of violence in Gaza since the 2014 war, Palestinian officials say Israeli troops have killed 55 people and wounded 2,700. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said his military was acting in self-defence against Gaza's Islamist rulers, Hamas, who he said wanted to destroy Israel. The Palestinian Authority's leader condemned a "massacre". The UN spoke of "outrageous human rights violations". The violence came as the US opened a controversial embassy in Jerusalem. Israel said some 40,000 Palestinians had taken part in "violent riots" at 13 locations along the Gaza Strip security fence. Palestinians hurled stones and incendiary devices, while the Israeli military used tear gas and live fire from snipers. Mr Netanyahu defended his military, saying: "Every country has an obligation to defend its borders.3 points -

During the Sunday Public Talk, the speaker mentioned the animals he would like to touch in the N.S. I whispered to husb? "What animal would I want?" Obviously, a dog. Nope I have found dogs that do not trigger my allergies, but in the new System I won't have to worry abut cat-allergies. Everyday will be Caturday. But I still love my canines.3 points -

Our Ancient Ancestor's teeth & Modern Dental Care
2EVES and 2 others reacted to EccentricM for a topic
I was curious tonight whether the portrayal of ancient people with bad teeth in media and other works of fiction teeth was very accurate, and it turns out it's not! Ancient people had better teeth than us despite lack of tooth brushes and tooth care products, and explanations tend to point to diet. They ate more natural foods and did not consume much sugar like modern humans do, and especially not refined sugar. https://medium.com/forever-young/for-hundreds-of-thousands-of-years-humans-did-not-brush-their-teeth-why-do-we-brush-them-now-1bfe99250a35 https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/italy/11902097/Ancient-Romans-had-perfect-teeth-thanks-to-healthy-low-sugar-diet.html I've often thought to myself, whislt dentists are certainly good and beneficial for people, if there was always a little bit of a marketing scam in there somewhere. For example, dentist cleaning products and toothpaste contains fluoride which is good at cleaning teeth, but in turn research shows it goes towards producing or making them more prone plaque and tartar in turn, causing a cycle of cleaning and degrading with a single product. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/fluoride/ This of course is all depended on the levels that are used, but it would not surprise me if they put it in products to promote good "instant" results but promoted long term tooth vulnerablity. You always see toothpastes promoted by dental companies, people who are paid to fix your teeth. It's why I brush my teeth with water, baking soda and coconut oil and someyimes chew on eggshells with the membrain as they are known for preventing and fixing existing cavities. I also have a very low sugar content diet and have very healthy, white teeth with no cavities and I rarely ever go to a dentist (though obviously when I need to I do) and I don't always brush twice a day. (My only weak area is the bottom front two teeth I have, which has a tendency for building tartar for some reason and may be related to some kind of form of dry mouth, lack of saliva in the area which can lead to plaque build up, which I always end up having to scrape and break off with my personal dental tools and sonic devices, but all my other teeth are great.) But back on track, it's interesting how our ancestors had better teeth than us despite lack of brushing and it shows just how much junk is in our modern food.3 points -

Not a direct command to not drink urine, but the princible of sanitary commands. Meaning he told them to take their waste out of the local area, bury it and cover it with dirt. This princible would indicate Jehovah would not want them drinking or eating it. Deuteronomy 23:12-14 - "A private place should be designated for use outside the camp, and there is where you should go. 13 A peg should be part of your equipment. When you squat outside, you should dig a hole with it and then cover your excrement." Though this verse is about excretement, we can easily apply the same princible to the other type of bodily waste too. Also, in their culture it was seen as a disgusting thing as it was something that would be forced upon captives who lost to other nations. 2 Kings 18:26 - "But the Rabʹsha·keh said to them: “Is it just to your lord and to you that my lord sent me to speak these words? Is it not also to the men who sit on the wall, those who will eat their own excrement and drink their own urine along with you?” So, if it was a practice they approved of, they would of had no issues drinking their own urine and it would not have been a valid insult or threat. Of course this is not a direct quote linked to a command, but it gives you an idea of how it was viewed.3 points -

Chess mystery in the world today
Beggar for the Spirit and one other reacted to GodlyDevotion for a topic
I love playing chess with my siblings. After we would finish playing, they'd joked about being a grand master in chess. One sunny afternoon, after playing chess, we got into an argument of who is the most powerful in chess, the king or the queen? While I made my stance that the king is cos he is the sole reason the game exists, he blatantly opposed and told me the queen is with her many powerful moves. We ended up not coming to a final agreement, but it suddenly reflected that neither is more powerful than the other, after all the king can't checkmate, a point he indicated to me. After our argument, it got me thinking of the KOS and KON. IMO I liken the queen in chess to KON with its mysterious moves and how it's changed in recent years and its attack towards pure worship. KOS is the king, he's the false prophet described in revelation that will fight Jesus and his armies in the battle of Armageddon. He's got the life in the game. Who do you think is the most powerful in the game of chess, the king or the queen? Well it all went well until someone showed up and said it's the pawn. So what do y'all think, the king or the queen? Chess lovers, lemme hear your opinions.2 points -

This is a gorgeous album he recorded with Chick Corea and Hubert Laws (brother Ronnie Laws IS a brother)... It does sound like a grounding issue. Whoever installed the RJ45 Plug may have two of the eight wires of the CAT5/6 cable reversed. You can mess up two of the wires and it will still work but I can't remember which two. Here is a wiring diagram to compare to the plug. https://www.google.com/search?source=hp&ei=RRD5WvEKwoCxBe2UurgF&q=ethernet+plug+wiring&oq=Either+net+plu&gs_l=mobile-gws-wiz-hp.1.1.0i10l5.14729.22541..27687...1....176.1230.1j9......0....1.......3..0j35i39j0i131.lhjZtxfgnXk%3D#imgdii=CdZrkLkcO47h1M:&imgrc=ABMUL0F1zFaYHM:2 points

With the ethernet cable plugged in, disable the LAN adapter (exact instructions will vary based on your OS), and try playing the audio again. If disabling the ethernet adapter causes the issues to stop, the problem is software/driver related, and if the problem continues it's hardware related, likely a grounding issue.2 points

Great meeting this morning, great nap afterward. Then went in the garden to plant, the soil is so smooth and flows freely through my fingers. Was so warm from the sun. Done now, sitting on the stoop in the afternoon sun, listening to my smooth jazz watching the Robin's as they raid the worms from my soil. One Robin isn't afraid of my presence, seems she must have a big brood to feed she's been back multiple times. Just read the thread about writing stories about the NS, I want more to read. When running JW Library during the meeting we have a sound conflict when the ethernet cable is left plugged in to the computer. The audio skips and pauses. If the ethernet cable is unplugged first, then the computer booted uo, everything is fine. If the cable is left in, the cable needs unplugged and computer rebooted before the audio will play clearly. Anyone else experiencing such difficulty?1 point

What kind of computer? We recently replaced our computer because of sound drop out issues (dropping out during memorial was last straw). I have not heard of that. Our does not have that problem. Have you checked to make sure that the computer does not have the LAN and WIFI turned on and active? You do not need two connections to the Internet. It is possible for them to both be enabled and it can cause conflicts. If possible, LAN is the best connection for the Hall computer. But as the languages are so different, it´s clear that in the German version OTHER verses will have been updated.1 point
