Of the 113 people on board, only one person survived, making this the country’s worst airline accident in many years. Sadly, included in the death toll was a family of three of Jehovah’s Witnesses (a father, mother, and 22-year-old son), who were active, beloved members of their congregation in Cuba. A funeral was held for the family on Saturday, May 26, 2018. Along with the emotional and spiritual support that is being provided by the local elders to the friends and family of the victims, local authorities have also kindly offered practical assistance. We are confident that Jehovah will continue to bring ‘comfort to all who mourn’ during this difficult time.—Isaiah 61:1, 2.

I don't think it's quite correct to say, "not a sin". These things are not mutually exclusive. It seems appropriate to call it both - a crime and a sin. The police could handle the criminal aspect and the congregation the sin.

There are several good questions in the letter, I hope it gets a lot of publicity. We cannot find the answers to the questions of why we are being subjected to such harassment in our country, and which religion will be the next to fall victim after us? The aforementioned decision of the Supreme Court did not ban the religion of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russia. It only involved legal entities. So why are the law-enforcement agents acting in contravention of the will of the government of our country?

Exactly..It is enjoyable to compare readers..also, my husband and I are reading Genesis for our Bible reading.. only way to listen previously to the Reference Bible was to go to WOL..so nice to stream from the App on my phone! Looking forward to Acts reading in the Study Bible!! 🙂

I was able to tap on many illustrations in the Gospel books of the Study Edition and they all have the play button! Also, all of the books that have the introduction video will play the reading...Also, all of the Bible books in the Reference Bible will play the reading! Interesting to compare the readers of both translations!

I have been reading this book lately - http://www.allthingsnewnovel.blogspot.com/ It is free and written by a brother and I would like to highly recommend it. Some one has actually taken the time to imagine the new world with the various things we understand currently and add in a few thoughts of what things might be like. It is pretty well written - although I think he could use a really editor to find typos and that type of thing and perhaps make suggestions to really improve it to be an EXCELLENT written work. But that costs $$$ and this is FREE. And certainly beat out my expectations! I would love to talk with others who have read it and get some thoughts, but not if it is at the expense of your doing your own Bible reading - as THAT is inspired by God and what we need. Where as, this is just for fun reading.

Friday, June 8 I have found David the son of Jesse a man agreeable to my heart.—Acts 13:22. David was loved by Jehovah, who found him to be a man “agreeable to his heart.” (1 Sam. 13:13, 14) But David later committed adultery with Bath-sheba, and she became pregnant. That occurred while her husband, Uriah, was away serving in the army. When he came home temporarily, David tried to get him to have sexual relations with Bath-sheba so that it might appear that Uriah was the child’s father. Uriah would not do what the king suggested, so David arranged to have him killed in battle. David paid dearly for his crime—calamities came upon him and his household. (2 Sam. 12:9-12) Yet, God showed mercy to this man who overall walked before Jehovah “with integrity of heart.” (1 Ki. 9:4) If you had lived among God’s people back then, how would you have reacted? This would depend on your geographic location in relation to north south poles. Clearly spin friction would effect length of afterspool. A man after mine own heart - This expression is found in at 1 Samuel 13:14 “But now your kingdom will not last. Jehovah will find a man agreeable to his heart, and Jehovah will commission him as a leader over his people, because you did not obey what Jehovah commanded you. The connection shows that it means simply a man who would not be rebellious and disobedient as Saul was, but would do the will of God and keep his commandments. I think this refers to his public rather than to the private character of David; to his character as a king. It means that he would make the will of Jehovah the great rule and law of his reign, in contrast from Saul, who, as a king, had disobeyed Jehovah. At the same time it is true that the prevailing character of David, as a pious, humble, devoted man, was that he was a man after God's own heart, and was beloved by him as a holy man. He had faults; he committed sin; but who is free from it? He was guilty of great offences; but he also displayed equally, repentance. You can see this at Psalm 51.

Part of the reason Jesus said we needed to be like children is because of their open heart/mind. Children don't think anything is wrong about much of anything until they are taught what's right/acceptable. I'm not defending homosexual storylines, etc... but I'm not surprised at all that children wouldn't think it's a big deal. Anything presented as "normal" will be viewed as normal.

I think it's sad the other children thought a gay couple would be fun. That speaks volumes for how that lifestyle has been accepted by even children.

I'll repeat: I NEED this video to be uploaded. Although I live next to the ocean I don't have time to stay and focus in the creation. I don't even have the time swimming in the sea, even though thousands of tourists spend money to visit my place. Most of the times when I try to meditate about the life in New World, instantly in my mind are coming negative thoughts "Wake up silly, you have to pay the tax, the bills, etc until tomorrow- Wake up and run, run, run...". Sometimes I feel like the mouse that runs on the wheel without going nowhere. But these kind of videos they force my mind to focus in the creation!

It dawned on me the Mac and cheese was to make his son feel welcomed, like the skateboard. Will have to read it again for more of these subtleties. But first finish the second book The Unrighteous. They are addictive!

I have the expanded option for the Unread Content set so it displays a little text for the new posts and I generally more "glance" at it then "read" it when looking at the list of unread threads on my PC. Many years maybe decades ago, a young brother was riding a bus. It was before all the homo stuff was out, and the term gay was unused much. Sitting next to him was another male. He turned to the young brother and said, 'I'm gay'. The brother smiled and answered very naively, 'I'm pretty happy myself'. 😁 Too bad a word that used to stand for something nice has to be twisted to mean something so wrong..😠
