Interesting, a while ago (after the Russia ban) I bought a heavy glass dish with an air tight clip on plastic lid from Ikea with a view to putting two old and now unused Bibles in it and burying it in the ground for future use when our ban comes. Seems like I should go dig a hole now.

Hiding literature: It’s interesting that we live in a time when a huge amount of information can be stored on a tiny micro sd card. If only it had a screen! I might grow a comb-over big enough to hide an old iPod touch.

I feel so guilty. I had to use the restroom during Bro Splane's talk. Should be OK. I paused it and resumed afterwards. Lol

My brother and I are the only two of "our" family in the Truth still living. Our parents are deceased and our Aunts and Uncles never wanted the Truth. In fact, since we first started learning the Truth back in 1953, most of our family "cut us off" and never had anything to do with us. As a result, we have stayed close to each other. We still live on the same property we grew up on. We go fishing together and help each other in many ways. We have also been doing "Quick Builds", RBC and now LDC projects together since the very early 1980's. We have attended the same CA's and Conventions for years - at times, doing pre-convention work together. However, something we have never done is ... take a vacation together. We had hoped/planned to do this a couple years ago. My Brother has never been to Bethel. I have been there twice. I went the first time with my oldest daughter. We took the train from Florida to Newark NJ and visited Watchtower Farm and we were able to see NYC. I also had the opportunity to work for a week at Warwick. Again, I took the train ... this time I went all the way to NY Penn Station. My brother has never been on a train So, we had planned to got visit the Bethels in NY. We were going to take the 🚂🚋🚋🚋 to NJ and ride several types of🚃🚇🚈 to get around. Our wives were in favor us us trying to do this. Well, we soon found that neither of us could live on Social Security and we both had to continue to work and therefore, we had to put those plans on the back burner. Only things is, neither of us is getting any younger. I started looking for some alternatives. The only things is, trains run when trains run. You have to fit your plans to their schedule - they do not schedule trains according to what we want to do. There are only two trains each day that head north from our area. One leaves about 5:30 PM and the other one leaves around 11 PM. Not really any help. So, I looked at going south. I know, most people think Florida is south ... and it is ... but the state is 500 miles long I found that we could catch a morning train and ride to Tampa - getting there around lunchtime (there is only this one train that goes from our area to Tampa). The train that would bring us back would not leave Tampa until 5:30 PM ... but it would get us home the same day I also found that Tampa has a streetcar service that is free to use. We could catch it fairly near the train station and ride it to an area where we could enjoy a nice lunch and ride it back so we could catch the train home. We decided to try it. This was 2-3 months ago and we went ahead and bought the train tickets for yesterday ... you get a nice discounts when you buy the tickets early. We headed for the depot yesterday morning just before 7 AM and all was going fine. The train came on-time and we were on our way to Tampa. All seemed to be going good. The weather was not cold, and being Florida, it was also not too hot or raining. We had a nice ride - but the train was delayed and we got to Tampa nearly an hour late. We headed out of the depot to catch the street car. Somehow, we got turned around and walked about ½ mile in the wrong direction. We had to walk the ½ mile back so we could go the right way. When we went the wrong way - we found out that we walked right into a "party" ... well sort of. We did not know this, but Tampa has a celebration called Gasparilla This come complete with blocked off streets, about 700,000 people downtown - many of them drinking to excess and parade that is listed as being the third largest parade in the US When we did get back to the place we needed to catch the street car, the car was standing-room-only and full of people in pirate costumes, many of them still drinking. We made it to the place for lunch but, we did not have the amount of time to eat we thought we would. However, we still had a good lunch and were able to enjoy it without feeling rushed. We caught the streetcar back to the place near the train depot and headed for our train. We made sure to get there in time so we would not miss the ride home. The train was 45 minutes late We didn't get back home until after 11 PM All-in-all we still had a good time and may try it again sometime. Only next time, we will make sure we do not go during a time the whole city is having a party

It is wise to think of hiding places now, even for those of us who live on places where we freely worship. For now. Things can change suddenly. Remember that morning worship where brother Jackson gave the example ( Singapore or somewhere?) where brothers had been for many years. Then overnight they were kicked out of the country, bank accounts seized ect. They didn't even see it coming. Who knows where this will happen next (it was mentioned that they expect it to spread), so it is wise to think about these things before they come up, while we are not under pressure. I have my places in mind already thanks to the spoiler thread. 😊

Thanks @Tortuga for posting this info and link elsewhere on the forum. I am glad that I had clicked on the link and read some of the brothers' and sisters' bios before watching Br. Sanderson's talk because reality really came crushing down on me when I could put faces to the names! I have some work to do before I can answer, "I AM READY!" Lots of prayer, prayerful meditation, study and faith-building. I thank Jehovah for this food at the proper time! THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Brother Sanderson’s talk and the videos of our Russian brothers and sisters moved me to tears. To see the support our brothers and sisters in Russia gave to the ones who were being sent to prison was just too much. Brother Sanderson wonderfully explained our clarified understanding of Daniel 11:40. I had goosebumps the whole talk! And that video in Brother Jackson’s talk... wow. Just. Wow.

The entire talk is for us all. Those not currently under ban should think about where we could hide it. We don’t have to go and hide it ourselves yet. That’s not what was said. But we must think where we could hide it to be ready.

Yes your right. We don’t have to hide our stuff right now but he did say we must keep in mind a place where we could. Obviously that is for when that time potentially arrives for us.

He says, "brothers have a secure place in mind to hide your bibles and other precious spiritual food whether in printed or in electronic form." Then he mentions if your worshiping Jehovah in a country right now under ban do not leave your spiritual food where it could easily be found. So it's a message for all. For us it's think about where to hide it and for them make sure it can't be found where you are hiding it.

Wow! This was a really great AM. The many enlightenments were welcomed for sure, especially that video about the attack of Gog and the turning on false religion. I mean, really, things like that is what really makes faith stronger because we are not fearing anything...we are really eagerly awaiting because the battle of Armageddon is really about preservation of life, not the expectation of death. It is a protective measure initiated by Jehovah.

Since it is an official JW website and it is publcly available it is legal. Either way, it only lets you download videos which would be publicly available in few hours later anyway, it doesn't make any difference.

Good idea! But you must be in a warm climate. Too bad that would be difficult for those of us who live where the temps become quite frigid. Our lows this week will be in the -0 Fahrenheit all week. Brrrrr Back to the drawing board.

Another illustration might be "Broadcast Television". If a program is uploaded and broadcast in one time zone but it will come on your TV until 4 hours later, it is not illegal to jump head and watch the earlier upload in another time zone and record it. It is just a matter of time. Once the broadcast has been sent out, it does not matter whether you get it from the air or online or through a cable company, the data has been released. The akamai servers are used by our organization for the sole purpose of distributing the information. We pay them for the opportunity to use their equipment to make this program possible. Once the information is officially posted to the servers it has been "released". We have no other purpose or connection to Akamai's commercial servers except to distribute our media. Just a thought...😉

I dont recall him saying to stop preparing. He said to stop worrying about what could happen during persecution and things like that. Just double checked and found nothing about stop preparing... and then finally I figured out what you meant. I’m an Eejit. Sorry.

It applies to all of us. This part starts around the 12.30 min mark. Yes He did emphasize that if you are under ban now, do not leave your spiritual food out where it can be seen and confiscated. But before that, this portion started off with: We want to be ready when a ban or persecution comes. When things happen like in Russia. Are you ready? (paraphrased)
